This is absolutely discontinuous nonsense

Tonukurio
This was the story of the Wannabe Webnovelist Team (aka WW) who slaved over writing for five years and did not receive a single reader, only to discover that the person responsible for the final edit and publishing in the Wannabe Webnovelist writing team never actually published anything. He had only uploaded everything to the drafts. Sit back and relax (or not) as you try to figure out which character has written which paragraph or chapter. Not to mention working out how many people are actually in this team - this may fluctuate. The WW team's rules in this novel are that once a chapter has been published, no one in the team can edit it. (NB: all the characters in this work are fictional and while any resemblance to real life people are not entirely coincidental - no insults are meant. This is a completely tongue in cheek, rubbish piece of nothing. Yes, you read that right. If you find this as nonsensical as the author(s), then 'high five!' You are on the right page.) Also, has this story really been discontinued? Wait and see... because if it really has been discontinued, we hope the readers enjoy being left hanging on the cliff edge - or just hanging, cos there's nothing wrong with just hanging about. Addit Oct 2023: WW is on a long break. Who knows if they'll ever get back together or come back (in fact, I doubt they will ever return - I think they've given up). Therefore, you will receive random short stories instead. This is now truly discontinuous nonsense. Enjoy. If you don't like one story, you can now switch to a different one via the contents page. Yay.

Legacy of Ash

Ten years ago, the Thorne empire didn’t just collapse—it screamed. Sloane Thorne was only eighteen when she stood on the manicured lawn of her family estate and watched the person she loved most—her father, Silas—consumed by a fire that turned her world to cinder. The man standing next to her as the roof caved in was Arthur Vane, her father’s protégé and the man who would spend the next decade building a trillion-dollar kingdom on the charred remains of the Thorne patents. The Vengeance: Now, Sloane is back. She hasn't spent the last decade grieving; she’s spent it climbing. As a ruthless venture capitalist, she has played a high-stakes game of financial chess to corner Arthur Vane. In a single, cold-blooded boardroom coup, she buys his debt, seizes his tower, and prepares to erase his name from history. Her goal is simple: total professional and personal annihilation of the man who stole her future. The Twist: But as the "Vane" signs are ripped from the walls, the earth at the old Thorne estate begins to give up its secrets. A new excavation reveals a second set of remains, turning a tragic accident into a double homicide investigation. Suddenly, the narrative Sloane has fed her soul for ten years begins to fracture. The Trap: Arthur Vane isn't the cowering villain she expected. He is a man haunted by a truth he’s kept behind a wall of silence. When Sloane forces him into a humiliating "consultancy" role to watch his own downfall, she unwittingly traps herself in a web of shifting loyalties. As they are forced into a toxic, magnetic proximity, Sloane discovers that the "villain" may have been her protector—and the "victim" she worshipped might have been the architect of his own destruction. The Legacy: With a shadowy third party watching their every move and a "Ghost" from the past threatening to reclaim the empire, Sloane and Arthur must decide if they will continue to burn each other down or unite to face the true monster waiting in the smoke. In a world where wealth is a weapon and love is a liability, the only thing more dangerous than a secret is the person willing to die for it.

Cultivation: World's Fall

In a world governed by unseen principles of growth and transformation, life does not simply exist—it evolves, adapts, and ascends through layered structures that bind reality itself. Beneath a land recently renewed by rain and rebirth, where ecosystems flourish and creatures struggle within the natural order, something awakens that does not belong to any known path of existence. It possesses no identity, no defined form, and no understanding of the world it inhabits. At its core lies only a singular, unyielding instinct—to grow. Not through conventional means such as cultivation or natural development, but through consumption, assimilation, and continuous reconstruction of its own being. Flesh becomes structure, structure becomes function, and function becomes something entirely new as it expands beneath the surface, silently integrating itself into the environment while remaining unseen by the world above. However, this world is far from simple. It is built upon layered realms, governed by intricate mechanisms, and sustained by forces that regulate the balance of power across all forms of life. From the smallest organisms to beings that transcend mortal limits, everything follows a system—whether understood or not. Yet, as this formless existence continues to evolve, it begins to deviate from those very laws, reshaping itself in ways that were never intended, gradually uncovering fragments of awareness and the structure of reality itself. What begins as a mindless entity driven purely by instinct slowly develops into something capable of observation, calculation, and eventually, intention. Its growth is not linear, nor is it bound by the restrictions that limit others. While some cultivate power and others rely on established systems, it adapts beyond them, learning not only how to survive, but how to dominate the very foundations that govern existence. As it rises from the depths, expanding from a hidden anomaly into a force that influences the world above, the balance between life, power, and structure begins to shift. The realms that once defined progression may no longer be enough to contain it, and the systems that once dictated growth may become tools to be rewritten. In a reality where evolution has no true end and limits exist only to be surpassed, one question remains inevitable: What does something become when it is allowed to grow without restriction—not as a creature, not as a cultivator, but as something that redefines the very concept of existence itself?
