Scarred Glory
Marseille, 1995. The Banlieus are a concrete mouth that swallows people’s dreams.
Adélard, 17 years old; and Leon, 7 years old. These two young boys are what remains of a family based on lies. When the silence in their underground apartment becomes silent forever, and when there Mother disappears into the salty air of the Docks, “the beautiful game” comes to end.
To redeem their Mother, Adélard will have to give up his future. In order to obtain money to buy back their Mother, Adélard will be forced to become a delivery-boy for the cities worst predators. While Adélard gets his hands bloody breaking them in dirty rainy alleys so he can protect his Brother from the darkness, Leon stands by and holds a frayed scarf, learning one of life’s harshest truths – in the Slums every “Glory” has a "Scar" next to it.
The docks of Marseille never forget a debt. As Adélard sinks deeper into the depths of the underworld, he discovers the accident that took his fathers life seven years before was no accident at all. It was just the beginning of a much larger and deadly game.
