A Guide for Heroes (Who’d Rather Not Be)

Erdan Kernt was just your average, lazy, overthinking, (slightly) dirty-minded guy trying to enjoy his favorite isekai anime in peace. Next thing he knows, he’s standing in a glowing magic circle, surrounded by robed weirdos calling him “Hero” and begging him to save their world. But Erdan isn’t your typical isekai protagonist. He doesn’t want a harem, doesn’t want overpowered abilities, and definitely doesn’t want to leave his bed (unless food’s involved). What he does get is a sharp-eyed servant with a broken past, a cute puppy, and a pile of expectations from people he barely trusts. Now, between mysterious cults, shady allies, and a kingdom that sees him more as a tool than a savior, Erdan has to figure out whether surviving this world means becoming the “hero” they want, or just stubbornly being himself. There will also be the occasional chapter in third person, so it won't only be in the perspective of our protag. I’ll probably go back and mess with earlier chapters now and then, fixing typos, making things sound less dumb, or just changing stuff if someone points out something weird. The story itself won’t change, but how I write it might. Basically, even after I post a chapter, I kinda see it as “Work In Progress” until the whole book is finished.
