Prince Li-Rong, Crown prince of the Wu empire, had walked every day of his life in the palace, envisioning his life outside of the high walls and scrimmage in the palace knowing he had no chance with the crown on his head.
Unsuspecting of his father, the emperor, he shares his goals and ambitions with him but that established his doom when his father had him crowned as prince blackmailing him with the one thing he knew he could only use.

Now he must stay and fight for the throne which he didn’t want in order to keep her alive in a palace filled with vipers ready to pounce on you, you need not have a weakness. Especially when that weakness is Love.

“Xi?” Li-Rong whispered the name in the dark of his chambers like a prayer, he didn’t want the name to leave his lips or forget the tone of her name with his voice since she said she loved it.
Maybe if he kept on saying it, she would come back. She would feel it wherever she was and return back to him. As tears rolled down his cheeks, he promised never to let her go if she came back to him.
But what happens when she never comes back?
