“Yeah? And what—he kills storms too?”
“I’m serious. Man shows up, things stop workin’. Saw it myself.”
“Sure you did.”
“Mage lit his hand—fire just cut out. No wind, no nothin’. Just gone.”
“Bad casting.”
“He did it twice.”
“…and the part where your ghost man did it?”
“He was standin’ right there. Didn’t move. Just watchin’.”
“Right.”
“And later—same light—kept a man up after he got split open. Should’ve dropped.”
“So now he heals too?”
“I didn’t say that. I said it didn’t make sense.”
“Convenient.”
“Believe it or don’t. I’m tellin’ you—things act different around him.”
“Everything acts different at sea. That don’t make it special.”
“…You ever seen power just… stop?”
“…No.”
“Then you’ll know him when you do.”
