In a world where every human life is governed by a System ranks, abilities, HP bars, and most crucially, Save Points the one unbreakable law is simple: everyone saves. Once a week, the System chimes and the world anchors itself to a moment it can crawl back to if everything goes wrong. The rich save in towers. The poor save in alleys. But everyone saves.
Except Eidan Null.
For twenty years, his single save slot has sat untouched frozen at age five, the morning before his family was slaughtered and the floors of a small yellow-walled house turned dark. He keeps it not as a tool, but as a grave. The last real morning. The last unbroken thing.
Then, at 2 AM on a rain-slicked street, his save file glitches. The System which does not make mistakes cannot classify what his two decades of unresolved grief have done to the file. It tries. It fails. And then it assigns the only label it has left:
