Stranded far from their home kingdom of Arkraiel, the two search for answers. While Max prioritizes survival and rest, Ak ventures into a nearby kingdom, driven by curiosity. There, he discovers a grand temple dedicated to powerful divine beings known as the Operators—gods who protect the world from destructive entities. Intrigued, Ak arranges to hear their origin story from a priest.
However, strange and dangerous events unfold. In a forest, Ak encounters a mysterious red-cloaked figure with immense power—someone capable of shattering the ground with a single strike. Though Ak narrowly survives, fear and confusion grow. When he later returns to the priest for answers, he instead finds him murdered under suspicious circumstances.
Refusing to abandon the truth, Ak becomes increasingly driven to uncover what happened, even as Max urges caution. Their investigation leads to suspicion from the kingdom’s people, resulting in their exile. Forced to live in secrecy, they continue searching for clues while preparing to return home.
But fate intervenes again. The mysterious killer reappears, and Ak confronts him despite being outmatched. In a desperate battle near a cliff, Max sacrifices himself to stop the attacker, leaping into the abyss with the enemy. Ak is left behind—injured, shaken, and forever changed.
Now alone in an unfamiliar world filled with gods, hidden truths, and deadly enemies, Ak must grow beyond his limits. What began as an accident becomes the start of a much larger journey—one that will determine whether he rises to become the knight-king he was destined to be, or falls to the darkness surrounding him.
