Ves eventually got to work.
While his wife and the other mech designers resumed their regular assignments, Ves diverted his time on a gambit that might pay off big or ruin the outcome of the project.
He did not foresee any other possible outcome.
As he bore the weight of many people's expectations, he knew that he couldn't dilly dally around.
He understood that he needed to present his work quickly, preferably within an hour.
That left him very little time to plan and execute his vision for a possible bridge between two different mech designers.
Ves immediately pulled out a design suite and began to draft a physical vessel that would hopefully be able to serve as the medium of an experimental new ritual.
He did not have to bother with this step. He knew enough about rituals that they possessed a huge amount of flexibility. He could perform a very rudimentary one simply by dancing in circles and chanting a refrain!
