Although they hadn't heard anything walking down their floor hallway, as they reached the stairwell, they suddenly heard "bang, bang, bang" as if something was continuously impacting, and the more alert guests instantly realized what the sound meant and, frightened, hurried back to their rooms, daring not to come out while notifying their companions staying in the hotel but in different rooms.
The local police in Molaban had also received emergency calls. Upon hearing that someone had entered the hotel and started shooting, the police, struck by a headache, had to deploy officers while advising the callers to stay in their rooms and think of ways to use movable items like mattresses and sofas to block their doors to prevent mishaps.
