Jin Liwei stayed in the suite's living area for most of the night. He was glued to his phone, reading and typing, and sometimes made phone calls to various people.
The storm outside started abating at the crack of dawn. However, thick, dark clouds continued covering the sun, casting a dreary air over the battered city.
Jiang Ying Yue and Lin Yehan came out of their bedroom. Jiang Ying Yue, in her sharp bodyguard suit, greeted Jin Liwei before convening with her colleagues. In contrast, her husband wore casual jeans and a white T-shirt. Lin Yehan's eyes widened upon seeing Jin Liwei.
"Third Brother, you didn't sleep?" he asked.
"En." Jin Liwei rubbed his chin where stubble had already grown.
"You look terrible."
Jin Liwei grunted and glanced at his reflection in the mirror. Indeed, he looked terrible. His eyes were bloodshot, and the bags underneath could hide a couple of coins each. He sighed.
