He could tell from the way she had already begun glancing toward the inner hallway that she had no intention of interfering with whatever Seon Jeo needed to discuss, but he still tightened his fingers around hers before explaining his decision. "I am not leaving the residence tonight. Seon Jeo can reach the village much faster without me, especially if he takes only a few men, but there are matters I need to discuss with him before he goes. I will come to you as soon as we are finished."
