"I need you to protect her. Marry her"
It's been 3 weeks since Josh had this conversation with his mother. But the sentences keep repeating in his head.
In one side, he doesn't hate her. But he doesn't know her, where she comes from, what she is up to being here, his mother is quite secretive about her past. And in one side, he has a girlfriend. A woman from common people that he has been dating since three months ago, who he met at a voluntary event back then. In his eyes, this woman is a well wife material. She is smart, humble, just a little clingy. This is one of the reasons why he hasn't introduced her to his mother. He is accessing her, but looking forward to good ending. So his mom being pleading him to marry Stefany somehow put him in headache.
"Hi baby" Jane hugged her from behind while he is standing facing the glass wall at his office. Jane sometimes visits Josh at the office, that's the only private place where Josh allows her to come, but not his house.
"Something in your mind?" Josh let go her hands and faces her.
"Just some work stuffs"
"We haven't met in three weeks, is this how you greet me? do you even miss me? Jane pouted. She tried to close her face onto Josh's.
"Jane, no!" He kissed her cheeks instead.
"Why? I am your girlfriend"
"You know the rules!" soft but cold, typical Josh.
This is a side of Josh people rarely know. Yes he is cold, bold, and quite scary. But he put limit to his surrounding. Simply because he doesn't want to raise any tension or unnecessary problem. He holds big responsibilities within the family.
"Yes, but you're not my wife, yet"
Jane pouted a little bit. But managed to maintain her gesture.
"I saw the news related your mother's birthday. I saw this girl next to your mother, the girl in red. You never told me you have a sister".
"I don't have a sister"
She looks so familiar. She looks like just.... But, wait, it's not possible. That must not be her.
Derick said she has . . I must be guessing it wrong. Jane spotted that girl in red lingering her hand on Madam G hand on a tabloid on Josh desk.
"Then, who is she? she seems close with your mother"
A girl that my mother asks me to marry. said Josh in his mind.
"Yes they are" That's all Josh can say.
"What are you thinking about?" Josh spotted Jane zoning out a little bit.
"Nothing, just wondering when I can meet your mother". Of course she cannot say what she was thinking about.
"You will, soon" Josh sit back on his chair.
She is not in this world anymore. I shall worry nothing.
