Ling Yue's silver eyes flickered open as the moon's pale rays once again shone upon her body.
Clawing at the ground beneath her, she slowly staggered up and leaned against a tree. Her clothing was merely a bunch of rags, tattered and barely covering her body.

The dream faded, and Ling Yue woke to realize she wasn't on Earth anymore; she had been transported into another world. Moreover, she was the illegitimate daughter of one of the four noble families in this Jade Mist City, the Murong family. The dream had recounted all of the body's memories to her. She was now Murong Xue Meng of the Murong family.
The four noble families, also known as the Vermilion Phoenix Murong family in the north, the Azure Dragon Nangong family in the west, the White Tiger Ouyang family in the south, and the Black Tortoise Sima family in the east.
Currently, the strongest family was the Nangong family; their political power was unrivaled, and their martial ability was upheld by their young lord, Nangong Xue Hai. Even the City Lord has to give them some face.
Her Murong family was placed after the Nangong family. Their means aren't much lower than the Nangong family's; however, due to internal strife, they weren't considered as strong.
Then it was the Ouyang family and finally the Sima family.
Usually, being a child of a noble house is considered a good thing; however, with Murong Xue Meng being a martial genius and an illegitimate daughter, there are naturally many people after her life, step-sisters, and brothers were only a few.
