Master Liang's brow furrowed tightly when he caught sight of Qin Xia's strangely passive reaction. He had fully expected the Ancestor to intervene the split second he initiated the surprise attack on Long Hui. Yet, Qin Xia did not even show the slightest hint of interest in stepping in to stop him.
Because Master Liang was pouring almost all of his focus and awareness into watching Qin Xia, he completely failed to notice that Long Hui had already raised his palm, calmly preparing a counterstrike.
The instant Long Hui's palm struck Master Liang's chest, a sharp scream of agony burst from the attacker's throat.
"Argh!"
The sheer impact sent Master Liang's body flying backwards through the air before he crashed heavily onto the hard concrete ground.
