~LEE'S RESIDENCE~
"What did you tell him, Hayden-ah? Why did Lee Jihun sound like that?"
Asked Danica who's now wearing an oversized blue t-shirt and denim shorts to Hayden after Jihun walks out of the mansion.
"I just told him not to tell anyone about this."
Hayden answers Danica as he looks at Yeonae who's also looking at him, but Danica isn't convinced of Hayden's answer to her question.
"Geojismal hajima (Don't lie). TELL ME THE TRUTH, HAYDEN."
Said Danica to Hayden but quickly looks at Yeonae because she gently held her shoulder as a sign to stop. Danica just sighed as a sign of surrender.
"Go get change oppa (older guy *female to male*), keurigo eonni (and older girl *female to female*)... some things are better not known."
Said Yeonae, who's now wearing a sleeveless purple hoodie and denim shorts to her cousin and friend. Danica sighed again and then held Yeonae's hand on her shoulder.
"Wait for me at the gate. I think Jaeho-ya is already waiting for us outside."
Said Hayden to both Yeonae and Danica. They just nodded and began to walk towards the main door of the mansion to wait for Hayden at the gate. Hayden quickly walks towards the bathroom and as soon as he locks the door, he begins to change his clothes.
"Ya (Hey), Yeonae-ya. Don't you want to know what happened between Hayden-ah and Lee Jihun earlier?"
asked Danica to Yeonae as they waited for Hayden at the gate while holding their dresses. Yeonae sighed and then looked at Danica who was looking at her.
"Would you like it if I felt guilty? Would you be okay if I blame myself for the misery of others? Would you be happy if you know that I feel sad and helpless? OF COURSE NOT, RIGHT? And some things are better not known for the sake of others... and for the sake of myself."
Answered Yeonae to Danica while smiling at her weakly. Danica sighed and couldn't help it but hugged Yeonae very tightly as she was hugged back by her.
"DO YOU GIRLS WANNA HAVE SOME FUN SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU GIRLS WANNA STAY HERE?"
Hayden, who is now wearing a navy-blue t-shirt and brown shorts to both Yeonae and Danica as he walks towards his father's car while holding his clothes, opens the trunk and places his clothes there. The two young ladies let go of their hug and opened the gate. As soon as they opened the gates, they saw a black car parked across the road. The car's door suddenly opened at the driver's seat and a tall young man who's wearing a sleeveless gray hoodie and black shorts jumped out of the car.
"Do you need a vehicle to get away from this place?"
Asked the tall young man to the three as soon as they closed the gates. Yeonae smiled widely, looked both left and right before crossing the road and ran as fast as she could to get close to that tall young man.
"We sure do, Jaeho-ya."
Said Hayden as he walks closer to the tall young man, Jaeho, and they fist bump.
"Neon meosjin chinguya, Jang Jaeho-ssi (You are a great friend, Mr. Jaeho Jang)."
Said Yeonae as she hugged him while smiling. Jaeho hugged her back with a smile on his face as well.
"Sillyehabnida (Excuse me). Can we go now? Like... Ngayon na (Now)?!"
Asked Danica to both Jaeho and Yeonae while they're still hugging each other.
"SHUT UP, DANICA."
Said Yeonae to Danica with a grin on her lips and still not letting go of the hug. Jaeho just giggled and hugged Yeonae even tighter.
"Geurae (Ok). IF YOU GUYS DON'T MIND, maghihintay na lang ako sa loob ng sasakyan (I'm just gone wait inside the car)."
Said Danica as she jumps into the car and takes a seat at the back seat. Hayden giggled then jumps in the car as well and takes a seat beside Danica at the back seat. Yeonae and Jaeho finally release one another from their hug with huge smiles on their faces.
"Oraenman-ieyo, Jaeho-ya (It's been a while, Jaeho)... bogosip-eoseoyo (I miss you)."
Said Yeonae to Jaeho while still smiling as she looks at him. Jaeho continues to smile at her and then gently touches her cheek.
"Nado bogosipeo (I miss you too)."
Said Jaeho to Yeonae then softly kissed Yeonae's forehead. After Jaeho kisses Yeonae's forehead, both of them quickly hop into the car. Jaeho sits at the driver's seat while Yeonae sits at the passenger's seat.
"Where do you want us to go?"
Jaeho asked Yeonae as he looked at her with a soft smile on his face. Yeonae looks back at him and grins.
"The usual, OF COURSE."
Answered Yeonae to Jaeho as she now looks at both Hayden and Danica, still grinning. Her cousin and her friend look at her with a soft smile on their faces.
"Then the usual it is!"
Said Jaeho as he starts the engine of the car and drives away from the Lee's Residence.
~INSIDE THE CAR~
"I missed going there with the three of you. JUST LIKE THEM OLD TIMES."
Said Hayden to his cousin and friends as he looks at them with nostalgia in his eyes. Yeonae suddenly giggled and then smiled softly.
"Nado (Me too)."
Said Yeonae then sighed. Jaeho gazes at Yeonae then suddenly holds her hand while still driving. She quickly looks at Jaeho, looks down at their hands, smiles softly and then looks back at the road.
"SO... how was your part-time job?"
Asked Danica while stretching at the back seat. Hayden just glared at Danica then rolled his eyes as he now looked at the houses that they're passing by.
"I love working in that little book cafe. It's always peaceful and quiet and whenever there aren't many customers, I can read any books that I want to read for free or draw or write poems or even continue writing my story."
Answered Yeonae to Danica while smiling and Jaeho's still holding her hand. Jaeho just smiled as he listened to Yeonae while looking at the road and driving.
"Gwaenchanha (It's okay). The salary is great but damn! It's exhausting when there's a lot of customers and meetings, wedding receptions, birthdays. I want to quit but damn that salary is too good to let go."
Said Hayden as he closes his eyes and covers it with his palm. Jaeho and Yeonae just laughed because of Hayden while they're both looking at the road.
"Eolmaya (How much is it)?"
Asked Yeonae to Hayden as she now looks at him. While waiting for Hayden's answer, Yeonae suddenly looks at Jaeho's hand that's holding hers and then gently holds his hand with her other hand.
"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS."
Answered Hayden to Yeonae as he now glares at her. Yeonae quickly pouts and looks back at the road as Jaeho and Danica begin to laugh because of them.
"If anyone's asking, I'm working as a waitress in a coffee shop and the uniform suits me very well."
Said Danica while holding her cheeks with a smile on her face. Hayden quickly looks at her from head down with disgust, while Jaeho just giggled.
"How about you Jaeho-ya? What's your part-time job?"
Asked Danica to Jaeho as she removes her hands from her cheeks and looks at him. He shrugs his shoulders while still holding Yeonae's hand.
"Nothing much. I'm just singing in a small bar."
Answered Jaeho to Danica with a shy smile on his lips as he glances at Danica at the rear-view mirror.
"Singing in a small bar you say?"
Asked Danica to Jaeho with a smirk as she leans closer to Yeonae's seat while looking at him.
"OH, BOY. Here we go again."
Said Hayden as he covers his face with his palm because of the embarrassment that Danica is causing him.
"Why did you choose to sing instead of following your parents' choice for you?"
Danica asked Jaeho as she continued to look at him with curiosity in her eyes while still leaning towards Yeonae's seat.
"They can't control my life all the time, nuna (older girl *male to female*)."
Answered Jaeho to Danica while still holding Yeonae's hand and his hand was being held by hers.
"JUST... STOP IT, DANICA. JUST STOP IT."
Said Hayden to Danica while still covering his face with his palm and pulled her back to make her lean on her seat again.
"Wae (Why)? JEALOUS MUCH?"
Asked Danica to Hayden while doing some aegyo (cute poses/acting cute) in front of him. Hayden finally looks at her and begins to judge her from head down once again.
"Jaemi-eobsda (Not funny)."
Said Hayden to Danica as he quickly pinches her nose while still looking at her.
"Aray (Ouch)! Masakit (It hurts)!"
Shout Danica as she feels the pain of Hayden pinching her nose too hard. Jaeho continued laughing as he carefully parked the car in front of a huge old brown gate.
"Geuman (Stop it). We're here."
Said Yeonae to both Hayden and Danica while still holding Jaeho's hand that's holding hers.
"Oraenmanida (It's been a long time), usual."
Said Jaeho and quickly looked at Yeonae with a soft smile on his lips. Yeonae quickly looks at him and smiles at him. When they heard the car doors behind them closed, both of them gently released their hold to each other then jumped out of the car as well.
~THE USUAL~
"Come to think of it. Why did we call it the 'usual' back in the days and up 'til now?"
Danica asked the three of them as they entered the huge old brown gate.
"Because we usually hang out here. Pabo-ya (Idiot)."
Answered Hayden to Danica's question as the four of them are now walking towards the abandoned bungalow house at the top of the cliff.
"Why the hell did we choose this to be our hang out place? It's so creepy and scary and all."
Complaint Danica to the three of them as they reached the top of the cliff and Yeonae's now entering the bungalow through the wrecked wooden front door while Jaeho is covering her head to avoid those sharp edges of the wrecked wooden door.
"This place hasn't changed at all."
Said Yeonae as she starts to look around the house. As the rest of them finally entered the bungalow, Jaeho quickly walked towards the electric fuse of the house and switched it on.
"How come this place still has electricity?"
Hayden asked Jaeho while walking around inside the house and looking around.
"Oh. I forgot to tell you."
Said Jaeho as he now walks towards Yeonae and gently hugs her from the back.
"I asked my parents to buy this property and name it to me a week ago."
Answered Jaeho to Hayden's question then he and Yeonae swayed while he's still hugging her from the back as they giggled.
"Your parents really do love you, huh."
Commented Danica to Jaeho then took a seat at the couch that's placed at the balcony of the bungalow. Hayden quickly followed Danica and took a seat at the other side of the couch as he now looked at the view.
"Well, now I remember why we chose this place."
Said Danica as she starts to smile while staring at the city below the cliff. Yeonae suddenly stops from swaying with Jaeho, making him stop too and slowly releases her from his hug.
"The city is really beautiful in this part of the town."
Said Yeonae while smiling, as she walked towards the balcony and began staring at the city down below. Jaeho quietly followed her towards the balcony and stood beside her while looking at her.
"I'm glad that no one bought this property after all those years."
Said Jaeho as he continues to look at Yeonae and then softly kisses her cheek, making her giggle a little. Danica just looked at them with disgust, while Hayden scrolled down his phone.
"So... what do we do in here?"
Asked Danica suddenly as she stood up from the couch and then walked inside the bungalow. Yeonae quickly turns around and looks at both Hayden and Danica with a huge smile on her face.
"Who wants to watch a movie? I have new ones~"
Said Yeonae as she follows Danica inside while she's still smiling at her and getting her otg flash drive from her pocket.
"Anong movie (What movie)?! Anong movie (What movie)?!"
Danica asked excitedly to Yeonae as they both took a seat on another couch in front of the television. She quickly took her phone and plugged the otg flash drive in it.
"I'll arrange the speaker and the television."
Said Jaeho to both Yeonae and Danica while he's now standing in front of them then points at the television and speaker behind him. Yeonae just nods at him while Hayden's walking towards them then takes a seat beside her on the couch.
"How about... 'Amour, Monsi'? It's about Monsi and the love of his life, Purple, who happens to love him too but is afraid to confess his feelings in person."
Suggest Danica to Hayden, Jaeho and Yeonae while looking at each one of them. Jaeho suddenly stops for a little bit after hearing what Danica said then continues to arrange the television and speaker.
"Just tell us if you like girls, nuna (older girl *male to female*). Nothing will change between our friendship."
Said Hayden to Danica as he now smiles and nods while looking at her. Yeonae smiles and nods at Danica too as she looks at her, while Jaeho continues to arrange the television and the speaker.
"Manahimik ka (Shut up)! Hmm... how about 'Labyrinth Runner: The End Cure'? It's about those Labyrinth Runners who escaped the Labyrinth and their search for the cure of a wide-spread disease."
Asked Danica once again while looking at each one of her friends.
"Since when did you start to watch 'TheLabyrinth Runner'?"
Questioned Hayden to Danica as he now looks at her with his eyebrows narrowed.
"THEN YOU CHOOSE!"
Yelled Danica to Hayden and then she points her index finger at him then pouts while watching Jaeho arrange the television and speaker.
"Who wants to watch 'Happy End Day'? It's about a college girl who's being killed over and over and over again until she finds out who's killing her repeatedly."
Hayden asked the three of them. Yeonae just shook her head as an answer as she scrolled down on her phone to see her other movies.
"That's brutal."
Said Danica to Hayden as she looks at him with a slight trace of fear in her eyes. Hayden just rolled his eyes to her then quickly looked at Jaeho.
"What about you Jaeho-ya?"
Hayden asked Jaeho as he continued to look at him. After arranging the television and speaker, Jaeho turns around to face his three friends, looks at Hayden and then shakes his head as an answer to his question.
"Aw! Not you, too!"
Complaint Hayden to Jaeho as he closes his eyes because of his disappointment in Jaeho and covers it with his hand. Jaeho laughed, took the remote of the television then took a seat beside Danica.
"Then how about 'HE'? It's about a shapeshifting comedian who has been eating young kids since the 18th Century."
Hayden asked the three of them as he quickly removed his hand from his eyes then excitedly looked at them with a huge smile on his face.
"DUDE. NO. ANYTHING BUT THAT."
Said Danica to Hayden as she looks at him with her eyes wide open and then forms an 'X' mark with her arms. Hayden's smile quickly fades as soon as he glares at Danica.
"I think that's a bit disgusting."
Said Yeonae as she looks at Hayden with disgust while shaking her head.
"Hyeong (older guy *male to male*). Please don't. You know that these two cannot handle horror movies."
Said Jaeho to Hayden as he plays the remote that he's holding while looking at him. Hayden sighed as a sign of defeat.
"THEN IT'S UP TO YOU, Yeonae-ya."
Said Hayden as he looks at Yeonae while pouting and looking at her phone as she looks for other movies on her phone.
"Hmm... 'Nothing, Nothing'?"
Asked Yeonae to them as she looked at each one of them with a soft smile on her face.
"Is it the one where the boy has an illness who then becomes friends with their new girl neighbor and as they get to know each other, the girl takes him and makes him see and experience the ocean?"
Asked Danica to Yeonae as she looked at her. Yeonae nods as an answer while she's still smiling softly.
"Do you have any other options?"
Hayden asked Yeonae as he looked at her and caressed his nape. Yeonae suddenly pouts then looks back at her phone to look for another movie.
"Hmm... How about 'The Love Booth'?"
Yeonae asked again to the three of them as she looked at each one of them once again with a smile on her face. Danica's eyes suddenly light up then looks at both Jaeho and Hayden with a brighter glow on her face.
"Please! Please! I want to watch that one!"
Said Danica to both Jaeho and Hayden as she continues to look at them with her glowing face.
"Let's watch it!"
Answered Hayden as he rests his arm across Yeonae's shoulders with a huge smile on his face.
"What about you Jaeho oppa (older guy *female to male*)?"
Yeonae asked Jaeho as she looked at him with curiosity in her eyes. Danica and Hayden quickly look at him too and wait for his answer.
"Then 'The Love Booth' it is."
Answered Jaeho as he smiled at them gleefully then Yeonae rapidly removed her otg flash drive from her phone and gave it to Jaeho. He then stood up from his seat and walked towards the television and plugged Yeonae's otg flash drive there.
"Ya (Hey). Let's exchange seats."
Whispers Danica to Yeonae's ear. Yeonae nodded as an answer then stood up from the couch. Danica quickly slides towards Hayden then Yeonae takes a seat beside her.
"Is this couch new?"
Hayden asked Jaeho as he tried to bounce himself at the end of the couch while still sitting on it. Yeonae slowly looks at the couch and tries to bounce herself as well.
"I think this couch is new. Don't you think Yeonae-ya?"
Asked Danica to Yeonae as she also tries to bounce herself on the couch.
"Majayo (That's right). I just bought it the other day."
Said Jaeho as he takes a seat beside Yeonae on the other end of the couch while holding the remote of the television. Jaeho sets it up and all he has to do now is to play the movie but he's not doing it, making Hayden and Danica get irritated.
"Just play it already!"
Yelled both Hayden and Danica to Jaeho as they now looked at him with fire in their eyes. Yeonae burst out laughing and Jaeho finally played the movie while laughing as well.
In the beginning of the movie, there's these two women who both give birth at the same time and those two women happen to be best friends. They give birth to a baby girl and a baby boy. In the next scene, there's these two kids, a girl and a boy, who's wearing a costume for Halloween. Then the scene changed and those two kids were now dancing at an arcade.
"Gustong-gusto ko talaga ung part na 'to (I really like this part)~!"
Said Danica excitedly as the movie went on. While watching, Jaeho gently rests his arm across Yeonae's shoulder, she then slowly leans towards him and makes him her pillow. Suddenly, Danica looked at Yeonae and Jaeho who's now getting comfy. Danica slowly leans towards Hayden's ear.
"Look at Jaeho-ya and Yeonae-ya."
Danica whispered to Hayden's ear. Hayden quickly looked at them and saw both Yeonae and Jaeho smiling while watching the movie.
"Just let them be. They both need it."
Said Hayden to Danica while smiling at both Jaeho and Yeonae then continued watching the movie. Danica looked at Yeonae and Jaeho once again then she smiled as well and continued watching the movie.
Many minutes have passed, Danica looked at Yeonae and Jaeho again and she saw them sleeping in each other's arms. Hayden suddenly noticed that Danica's looking the wrong way, making him curious of what she's looking at, then saw both Yeonae and Jaeho sleeping in each other's arms. Danica suddenly looked at Hayden and saw that Hayden was already looking at Jaeho and Yeonae.
"Let them be. I miss looking at them like that."
Said Hayden and then he smiled once again while still looking at the sleeping Yeonae and Jaeho. Danica suddenly raises her eyebrows while still looking at Hayden then leans back at the couch, looks at the ceiling and pouts her lips.
"Are you sure that there isn't a thing between Jaeho-ya and Yeonae-ya?"
Asked Danica to Hayden as she speaks in pouts while staring at the ceiling and the movie is still playing on the television.
"Mollayo (I don't know). But if there's really a thing between the two of them, I'm sure that they'll tell us right away."
Answered Hayden to Danica as he now looks at her with a soft smile on his face then pats her head. Danica chuckled, looked at Hayden then looked at the television and continued watching the movie, and so is Hayden.
A few minutes later, Jaeho woke up and saw Yeonae still asleep while leaning on his chest and hugging him. Jaeho chuckled and continued watching the movie with a soft smile on his face.
"I missed you so much, Yeonae-ya. If only I could spend more time with you."
Whispered Jaeho to Yeonae who's still asleep on his chest like a kitten. Danica and Hayden heard what Jaeho whispered, making them look at him and they saw a tear fall down from Jaeho's eye. He then touches Yeonae's cheek and kisses her head gently. Danica teared up because of what she saw, while Hayden... he clenched his fists and a tear also fell down from his eye because of it.
Danica quickly looks away from Jaeho and Yeonae then looks down the floor. She then noticed Hayden's clenched fists and she unconsciously held his hands with both her hands, making Hayden jump a little from his seat. He looked at Danica and saw her tears falling down on her legs. Hayden slowly took his left hand from Danica's hold, touched her cheek, lifted her face and then wiped her tears while his right hand is now holding Danica's hands. She then breathes in and breathes out heavily then looks at Jaeho.
"J-Jaeho-ya? Are... Are you awake?"
Asked Danica to Jaeho while Hayden is still holding her hands. Jaeho just looked at Danica and nodded as an answer.
"I'm... Uh... I'll... I'll just go get some fresh air for a bit, okay?"
Said Danica to Jaeho while smiling at him with tears on her cheeks, he just nods to her again as an answer then looks back at the television to watch the movie. Danica slowly stood up and began to walk towards the balcony of the house.
"Jaeho-ya, I'll just join nuna (older girl *male to female*) for a moment, ok? Just take care of Yeonae-ya."
Said Hayden to Jaeho while looking at him. Jaeho quickly looks at him and nods as an answer while smiling at him. Hayden smiled back, stood up and quickly followed Danica to the balcony of the house. As he stood behind Danica, he gently rested both his hands on her shoulders and caressed it.
"What did they do wrong to feel this kind of pain? Why can't we do anything to prevent it from happening? Why does it have to be them to face the consequences? It's so hard watching them like this, Hayden-ah."
Said Danica to Hayden as she continued crying while holding both her arms. Hayden gently turns Danica around so that she could face him and he could give her a hug. Danica hugged him back and unconsciously gripped Hayden's t-shirt at the back.
"Why does it have to happen? Why? Why them?"
Asked Danica while she's still crying and hugging Hayden. He just stayed quiet, caressed her hair and he began to cry silently. Hayden and Danica stayed like that for a few minutes until they both stopped from crying.
"Yeonae-ya, are you awake?"
Jaeho asked Yeonae when she suddenly stretched her arms and rubbed her eye.
"Is the movie already finished?"
Asked Yeonae back as she sits properly beside Jaeho. He then sits properly as well.
"Well, the end is almost near."
Answered Jaeho as he looks at the television and then looks at Yeonae with a smile on his face.
"Jin-jja (Really)?"
Asked Yeonae while she's stretching once again and then looks at the television. Jaeho chuckled then smiled at her.
"Eung (Yes)."
Answered Jaeho to Yeonae as he continued to smile at her. Yeonae just pouts and Jaeho puts the strand of Yeonae's hair at the back of her ear. Yeonae quickly looks at him while still pouting.
"Geumanhae (Stop it)~ Stop doing aegyo (acting/posing cute), Yeonae-ya."
Said Jaeho to Yeonae as he began to giggle because of her. Yeonae's pout quickly disappears and turns into a huge smile.
"Waeyo (Why)? Am I making you blush oppa (older guy *female to male*)~?"
Asked Yeonae to Jaeho and continued doing aegyo (acting/posing cute) in front of him.
"Ani (No)."
Answered Jaeho to Yeonae as he shook his head then looked away from her, making Yeonae pout in front of him once again.
"Then why?"
Asked Yeonae once again to Jaeho while still pouting as she then crosses her arms.
"Because seeing you doing aegyo (acting/posing cute) makes me want to pinch your cheeks."
Jaeho answered Yeonae then suddenly pinched her cheeks.
"Ack! Manhi apeuda (It hurts a lot)!"
Shout Yeonae to Jaeho as she tries to escape from his pinches. Jaeho then releases Yeonae's cheeks and begins to giggle.
"What are you giggling about?! Keu apayo (That hurts)."
Said Yeonae to Jaeho as she now caresses both her cheeks, while he just kissed both Yeonae's hands that's still caressing her cheeks.
