Chapter 1 - SAUDADE

"Freya, Freya!!" a worried voice came outside the door of Freya's bedroom. It was a man, who had a well-built body designed for a warrior. He is wearing normal clothes, well at least like what normal people wear in medieval times and kept his hair tied in a low messy ponytail. He is now starting to open the door to check her out.

"IT'S LOCKED!" he continued to knock while starting to do his last resort, to wreck it open. He keeps on calling out her name hoping she will open up the door and prove him that there is nothing to worry about.

"It would be a lot easier if I am wearing my armor" he said with a sigh after he succeeded in opening the door and with full caution, he proceeds to walk inside the room.

"Freya?" he called out once again, hoping that she would answer. His instincts told him that Freya could be in danger, and her weird indistinct murmurs made him more nervous. And then, when he saw her lying on her bed asleep, he immediately rushed beside her to wake her up. He suspects that she's having a nightmare then saw something glisten in her cheeks.

"Freya! You need to wake up." He exclaimed while shrugging her with a delicate force but enough to wake her up and finally, she does while breathing heavily, as if she loss all energy she have.

"Looks like you are chased by wild pack of wolves and--"

"Tigreal, you saved me! W-where am I? Z-Zilong? Did you get him? Where is he? How did I get back?"

"Him? Who?" still confuse of Freya's action, he looked at her intently with serious eyes, pleading her to listen to him first. "You were sleeping since last night of course. Plus, you never left."

"Hey goddess, calm down! You need to get back on your senses, please" He calmly said but his authoritative voice is still remarkable as if he is ordering Freya. "Okay, you are in your room. And sorry to break in but don't worry I didn't ruin the door"

"But just a moment ago…" she froze after saying those phrases and it seems like everything has sunken down to her system that what she had was just a bad dream, even Zilong.

"Nightmare…." She saw how Tigreal nodded with eyes assuring her that anything bad happened is surreal. He didn't bother what did she dreamt about since it's pretty obvious and he doesn't want to add up to thoughts that is clouding in Freya's mind.

"The Blood Night.. isn't it?"

"That visions, t-they weren't real?" She hurriedly gets off at her bed, not even minding to wear her indoor slippers.

"Wait!" Tigreal started to storm out of the room just as Freya did so he'll be able to reach her. Freya was still out of her mind and she found herself standing in her balcony. She had no idea that she will witness a peaceful sight. She heard the birds as they chirp a serenading sound, the fresh air breeze that touches her skin and the wonderful scenery of sunrise that captivates her eyes.

"Seems like the heavens still know how to calm you down"

"I guess so" she replied while still looking in the beautiful sky. She continuously watched and Tigreal guarded her as he watched the sunrise too. "I thought I found him a while ago."

"I hope that you'll be able to find him, and not in that kind of setting."

"Tigreal, look!" he shifted his gaze from the sky to where Freya's index finger is pointing. He can't believe the thing he saw in the sky: a familiar white bird that glows in faint blood red color.

"VERRI" they exclaimed in unison, waiting for the bird to reach their direction.

"Well obviously, Pharsa has made a move too." Tigreal said while he steps forward so he can see what news did Verri brought. "And I've got this ready" He handed Freya a piece of paper and a plumage.

Freya opened the scroll that Verri carries; she carefully read it and can't help to react after reading the note. She immediately writes a reply. Verri left after giving respect as soon as she finished attaching the note to him.

"The post-scriptum says keep this spirit wheel, this might be useful in the future. It must be a rare type of scroll." Freya said as she carefully analyzes the scroll and its details. "Some runes are encrypted here, see?"

"She really did like ingenious riddles, I suppose." He jokingly said knowing the fact that Pharsa is playing safe so they can move freely while being less suspicious in case the dark forces are spying on them.

Freya cannot forget a single word written on the scroll. Despite of her excitement, she can't hide the tense she's feeling when she find herself having no choice but to go to that place she refused to inspect for years.

Tigreal shifted his gaze to Freya. He observed her uneasiness because they both know where to go exactly. Freya started to walk ahead to leave the balcony.

"We need to leave this instant. Or else, we have no choice but to camp in the forest if it gets dark." Freya ordered. "We don't know what danger we might face so better prepare ourselves."

"What's with the sudden decision?"

"If I have to cling on any chance or possibility, I am willing to do that."

"Are you really ready to head back?" He carefully asked which made Freya to stop taking another step forward. "Even it haunts you?"

"I guess I have no other choice. It's going to be a long walk from here, but given that we're at the edge of Nost Gal, we'll reach it in no time." Freya stated. "You can wear your suit if you want to. Also, there's one thing...." she turned around to face Tigreal and smirked at him.

"What's with that suspicious smirk, Goddess? Planning something?" Freya giggled.

"You wouldn't mind if you catch a cold once I throw a snowball on your face, would you?"
