Near a small school in the town...
The surroundings looked very desolate, there was no sound, and no figure in sight. Apart from the rampant growth of all kinds of plants squeezing through the fences, all that was left were scattered debris. If someone were just passing by here, they wouldn't notice anything unusual, and wouldn't even dare get close for a look. Because such a place neither has resources to gather, nor is it a place suitable for shelter. On the contrary, there might be some unexpected dangers lurking, like elementary students evolved into advanced zombies, or red-eyed teachers screaming "bring your parents"... Either one is a nightmare.
But in fact, if someone observed carefully here, they would discover that a human shadow would appear on the rooftop of the teaching building every few minutes for a brief moment. Although the shadow moved quickly, its gaze would sweep around outside the school from afar, and then move to another direction.
