As the weird music was playing some people started introducing themselves. On was a woman with very long red hair wearing a set of white clothing with a big red 'R' on it. The man was very much the same only he had purple hair. With them as well was a talking Meowth, this was very a strange set of people and pokemon.
I didn't pay much attention to them and decided just to walk around this weird gathering, and activation Stealth to it maximum capacity while also leaving a note for Ash and Misty.
Walking through Viridian Forest was a very calming exercise with no worries of a large scale pokemon raid like in Conoh. I walked until the sun was setting and decided to camp here and give all my pokemon a chance to bath in the moonlight. Cooking for both myself and my pokemon is quite easy and after we ate we all went to bed.
In the morning I finally reached the end of Viridian Forest and was now back on Route 2. On this route I encountered and caught a Bellsprout. I named it Heads as it's head was very big. After that I arrived in Pewter City. It looked more rural than Viridian even though it's only a few days away. I guess that's do to the fact that the Indigo League is just west of Viridian.
It was still early in the morning when I reached Pewter so I thought of challenging the Gym right away. Finding the Gym on the West side of the city I went straight on in. Apparently someone already challenged the Gym before me so I decided to go and watch the fight in question. Who I found challenging the Gym was another person that the professor said I should help if I could, that person being Red.
Red much like his brother Ash has black hair and covers it up with a hat that is red and white. He wore a black t-shirt with a red jacket over top of it, and he wore blue jeans. The pokemon he chose to fight the Gym leader, Brock, with where a Pikachu, a Bulbasaur, and a Poliwhirl. After he won I got to fight with the Gym leader. Going down to fight Brock, it seemed that Red wished to watch our fight.
Brock: I've been told you wish to fight with me.
Grey: Yep, I wish to challenge you with the Battle Trainer rules.
Battle Trainer rule are as follows: 1, the challenger must fight alongside his or her pokemon, 2, if you as a Battle Trainer are knocked unconscious you lose, 3, you are only awarded the Battle Trainer badge if you win against all of the Gym leaders pokemon, if you don't you'll only receive the regular Pokemon Trainer badge if the Gym leader deems it necessary, and 4, only three pokemon are allowed to be used at a time.
It seemed he was conflicted with allowing me to fight but in the end we were going to fight. For going against him I chose to go with Aqua (Poliwag), Radish (Oddish), and Masked (Seedot). He sent out two Geodudes and a Graveler to fight me with. With a referee counting down the moments to the fight I got my game plan ready.
Referee: Let the battle begin!!
With that as the signal Aqua instantly used surf on the opposing pokemon, while Radish and Masked used Razor Leaf and Bullet Seed respectively and I ran straight for the Graveler to use Low Kick on. Surf hit all the pokemon pretty hard, and it was had to levitate above it, while Razor Leaf and Bullet Seed managed to take out the Geodudes the Graveler still held on. After most of the water was gone I rushed up to the Graveler and dealt the finishing blow with Low Kick.
I thought this battle would be harder but considering Aqua's massive tidal wave in an enclosed space plus all moves, besides my Low Kick, where quad effective. Brock and the small amount of an audience seemed to be in a state of pure shock with how quickly the battle ended. I got the Boulder Badge from Brock and the Battle Boulder Badge for being a Battle Trainer and winning. After that Red came up to me and stated to bombard me with questions.
Red: How did you get your Poliwag to be so strong? Why were you fighting with your pokemon? How are you not wet from that Tidal Wave?
There where many more but I just told him about the TM for surf and allowed him to use it 1000 Pokedollars, as well as giving him a copy of the Basic Water Guide for another 1000 Pokedollars. After that it seemed I completed a quest.

I was surprised by the rewards as I didn't get a starter egg but an actual pokemon. After checking which Starter I got it seemed to be a baby Torchic, one of the three royal starters from the Hoenn Region. Its stats also didn't disappoint either.

With it having the Fighting typing earlier means that it may just end up becoming one of the power houses on my team. Also I decided to name it Blaze after it's ability.
Once I was done checking over Blaze I headed to the pokemon center for healing my pokemon as I went and gathered information about Mt. Moon and the cave I found on my way here. It was on an off the path place but I decided not to go in as I didn't really feel like it, but it has been on my mind ever since I found it.
