Shadow could hear his own heart beating out of his chest at this point. His master was definitely stronger than her or any of her friends but it wouldn't be the first time she told the Queen something which had got others killed. He was safe but his master on the other hand might be killed for upsetting one of the royal family members. Even though he didn't really like his master all like that he didn't think the man deserved to die. Even if this were a bad martial art he could always come some other time.
"I will leave, please calm down I'm sorry for disturbing you." Shadow started to walk away until that Monin guy tapped him on the shoulder.
"By the way weakling if you thought you could address her majesty without taking a knee and getting hurt then you were wrong." The aura in the hallway changed as shadow saw a orange glow appear around his fists. The heat it gave off was like boiling water touching his skin. He wanted to scream but he decided that if he did that kid would be right for calling him a weakling.
"Magic or anything that can cause damage to the Royal Library is not allowed to be used in it." A voice behind shadow had rung out to the group which had instantly made the other kid back down.
"Master, what are you doing here today. I thought you were gonna go plan the lessons for tomorrow."
"I was but I figured you might get in some trouble. It seems I was clearly right to expect it since when I came in he was going to kill you."
"No I wasn't I was just going to hurt him a little. I've used it before on others."
"I'm guessing that was on other academy freshmen because that would definitely be enough to kill any regular civilian. Think before you answer this question but were all the people you used it on know how to strengthen there body with energy."
"I....but....bec..... I wouldn't of meant to kill him."
"I could understand maybe if it was the princess over there which I ask politely to excuse my rudeness for not introducing myself but back to business. You do understand what would've happened if you killed him, right kid. You and your whole family would probably been executed. He is still a child of the queen."
The kid almost started to breakdown before kera comforted him.
"You know you talk big but all I would have to do is say that he tried to kill me and Monin protected me."
"We both know she wouldn't fall for that, especially since you could face off with soldiers while he has only just found out what magic he can use. As for me I'm sure you will probably tell her to kill me because I disrespected you, but I used a short recording magic I developed with space magic so all of this has been recorded.
I bid you a farewell princess. We small people don't deserve to be in your presence." He said this as he grabbed shadow and teleported.
"I send you on a easy going errand to help you I might add and you didn't even get a book."
" I did though master Tophson it's just I'm pretty sure it's bad. My sister gave it to me so I'm pretty sure it's bad."
"Let me see it first before you assume anything. Shadow handed the battered leather book to him. "Wait....is this... Ok listen this book is not something that is valuable to you take it back."
"Does that mean you don't think I have potential to learn it."
"Well no actually. It's just that unless the author of this book wished to teach you it would. This is a soul book. The authors of these type of books are usually pretty powerful but this guy was a legend. Thought to be one of the most powerful if not the power-fullest fighter to ever be born. He put his soul into this book to reach others but anyone he's ever let use this book died so it's thought to be worthless now. That and you can't read anything in the book unless he reveals it, see." He opened the book revealing blank pages. "Well I don't feel like sending you to the library tomorrow. Plus even though the princess is rather scary she truly never stops studying to become more powerful so she's always there. That being said I have a martial art for you to learn. It's the dragon style, one of the best martial arts provided by the royal family. We'll go over that tomorrow among other things but get some rest.
"Master before you leave can you tell me what I'm missing to activate the book."
"Sure but remember to take the book back after. The key ingredient for him choosing what we can tell is having access to Dark magic but really I have to go so bye." He disappeared into the air. It was just shadow alone in his room where his master had dropped him off and all shadow could do was smile.
