Chuzheng caught two wild chickens in the forest, plucked their feathers, and placed them on the fire to roast.
Jing Po hugged his box, sitting by the fire, staring unblinkingly at the roasting chickens.
"Want to eat?"
Jing Po maintained his posture, his clear eyes reflecting the dancing flames.
"...Can... can I?" He asked cautiously, like a child wanting a toy.
"No."
Jing Po uttered a soft "oh," fluttering his eyelashes, hugging himself, pitifully forming a small bundle.
"Not cooked yet." Chuzheng added: "You can eat in a bit."
Jing Po did not respond, hugging his knees and watching the fire.
Chuzheng: "..."
Chuzheng scratched her chin, thinking the gesture did not fit the big boss image, quickly putting her hand back down.
The aroma of food gradually spread in the forest.
The Kid turned his body around, giving Chuzheng a view of his silvery white back of the head.
Chuzheng: "..."
Why does it feel like I'm mistreating him?
