Sylvan Cheney didn't speak, didn't refute, and let her fasten his buttons and straighten his shirt.
"If your stomach doesn't hurt, after taking medicine, I'll call Elder Axel to have him take you back to your apartment," Jasmine Yale arranged. "Once you're back, get some sleep."
"Not going."
"Not going? Then what are you going to do? Business trip? Social engagement? Or a meeting?"
"There's nothing major, I'm going back to the office."
"Then what do you think qualifies as something major?" Jasmine Yale said faintly. "If today you were driving alone on the road and suddenly this happened, have you thought about the consequences? Or do you not care about your body and life at all?"
"It's not that serious!"
"Alright, you really don't care about yourself at all, but have you thought about the fact that if anything happens to you, there would be someone who would be sad?"
"Would there be?" Sylvan Cheney looked at her, a deep meaning brewing in his eyes.
