"It's getting late." Jasmine Yale pushed him away and stood up, "Maybe we both need to calm down a bit."
Sylvan Cheney grabbed her hand: "I'm already calm, I can't be any calmer. If I get any calmer, you won't want me anymore, right?"
Jasmine Yale's hand was held in his palm, warm.
He held tight, not giving her a chance to resist.
"Give me a chance to take care of you; you can change your mind anytime, but you need to give me this chance." Sylvan Cheney said urgently, "I admit I'm not good with people, my emotional intelligence is low, but I can change."
"Don't waste too much time on women. Your time is precious, and you've already wasted a lot." Jasmine Yale said lightly.
"It's not called wasting time. Even if it is, I'm willing to waste it, okay?"
