"I feel like having some." Jasmine Yale hadn't had steak in a long time.
"Didn't you eat enough tonight?"
"I did. Kade Yuvan ordered a whole table of dishes. I received what you asked him to bring me, and I'll give it back to you when you return."
"Why give it back? Don't like it? I don't understand children's height, weight, habits. I bought everything according to the shop's recommendations. Not good?"
"Just kidding." Jasmine kept her head down, fiddling with a teacup on the table.
The voice seemed relieved: "Thought you really didn't like it."
"The clothes are quite nice. They're all soft colors, suitable for a little girl."
"Then have a girl."
"It's not like you can decide whether to have a boy or a girl. I went for a check-up, several expecting mothers said I might be having a boy."
"Don't listen to them." Sylvan Cheney said earnestly, "Is your hand still hurting?"
"No, it's just a minor injury."
"Hmm..."
"You should rest early. I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight."
