"Aren't you going in? You're the bride's brother," Feng Zhenzhen asked with a chuckle.
The mention of this made Chen Yingjie angry, highlighting just how pitiful his status in the family truly was. According to Chinese wedding customs, he's supposed to carry his sister out the door, but in the end, his grandfather took over.
Can you believe it? An elderly man insisting on competing with him, and the worst part is he couldn't even win.
Not being able to beat an elder is truly embarrassing.
When they arrived at the hotel, for a Western-style wedding, the father hands the daughter over to the groom, which again has no relation to him. He's already felt the deep-seated malice from all his family members.
He wants to run away from home.
When Chen Yingjie and Feng Zhenzhen walked into the banquet hall together, the lighting happened to spotlight them, and countless eyes turned their way. Despite Chen Yingjie's thick skin, he couldn't help feeling embarrassed.
