Summer Ford stared at his ring finger for a while, feeling a warmth in her chest.
"I'll be going out later. I'll arrange some staff and security in the villa. If you need anything, just let them know," Ethan Laurent said while eating, speaking to her.
His tone always had a hint of coldness, and he glanced at her from the corner of his eye, adding, "When I come back, I hope to see you still here!"
"What? Are you not confident about your security measures?" Summer slowly raised her face, not directly answering his question, just lightly retorting.
"Is this a provocation?" Ethan raised his eyebrows, paused his eating, and looked leisurely at her face.
"No, I was just speaking casually." Summer's gaze shifted away from him, lowering her head as she continued to eat her meal.
She wouldn't be foolish enough to truly provoke him on such matters.
If he decided to change to a more advanced lock at home, it would only be disadvantageous for her.
