Leng Siche was explaining the situation over the phone to his parents while running toward the emergency room. As he hung up, someone suddenly called out to him from the side.
He turned his head to see an elderly man sitting on a bench in the corridor, leaning on a cane. The man's face looked unwell, hinting at illness, but there was an undeniable aura of authority about him, accompanied by two men who clearly were not ordinary bystanders.
Even though Leng Siche was in a hurry, he stopped politely, "Hello, did you call me just now?"
The old man did not answer, instead sizing him up, "Are you Leng Siche?"
Leng Siche was a bit surprised, thinking for a while before confirming he didn't know this person, "Yes, do you know me?"
"My surname is Tang," the old man said.
Leng Siche's pupils shrank abruptly as he realized who was in front of him, and his tone became somewhat stiff, "So it's Mr. Tang, hello…"
