Robert liked the work Jack did and asked Jack to tell him what he thought about the wild animals he found on this mission and what he hoped the soldiers would have to do in the coming months to make the Royal road safer.
"I think I found the number of wild animals that I expected on this mission when me and the group of hunters crossed the entire forest we found more than 3 times that amount of animals."
"Knowing this, I decided to take a group of 60 soldiers to make everyone safe, some groups of hyenas, some bears, and some tigers must have avoided our group if they saw us before I saw them."
"And especially the wolves that are the most dangerous animals, I told you and Captain Max that we would have to avoid the wolves so that we wouldn't have many soldiers dying, we could have found 1 or 2 groups of wolves on this mission."
"My opinion is that the Royal Road is much safer now, the animals have good instincts and will notice that several wild animals were killed during this mission and will avoid the Royal Road for a while."
"What I could suggest to you since all the soldiers came back unharmed and now have more experience, is that we take advantage of this group of soldiers and I can lead this group on another mission next month."
"The soldiers who will complete 4 months here will leave, but we can find other skilled soldiers or even go again with a smaller group of soldiers and so we could try to fight a group of wolves."
Robert was impressed because he did not expect Jack to suggest that he lead a group to return to the forest, after all, Robert realized how tired the other soldiers were and were relieved to return from the forest alive.
If he asked other soldiers that question they would surely say that everything was fine to avoid going back to the forest again, so Robert can see Jack's dedication to completing the mission.
"I think this is a good idea, I will ask the soldiers who are not watching the Royal Road start training more to be more prepared, and next month you can choose the same group of soldiers in addition to the soldiers who are going to leave."
This was just a conversation between Robert and Jack and the other soldiers who were relaxing, they didn't know they were doomed to have to go back to the forest again in another month.
Of course, Jack was suggesting this in his experience as a hunter, moreover, this is what the village hunters did to scare away the wild animals that now no longer came near the villages after the hunters' various hunts.
Jack only suggested this because he managed to earn the respect of most of the soldiers in his group, in addition, the soldiers had learned a lot and gained a lot of experience in those 10 days in the forest.
Time passed quickly in the forest and almost 4 months passed, Jack was only 2 weeks away and the soldiers who came with him to the Royal road could return to the capital, in the last 3 months Jack led another 2 groups of soldiers to the forest.
So counting on the first time there were 3 trips to the forest, and in these almost 4 months no wild animals had appeared on the Royal Road again showing that the work of Jack and his group had been good.
The soldiers were surprised when 1 month after their first hunt Robert and Jack recruited 60 soldiers again because 20 of the soldiers who went with Jack on the first hunt had already returned to the capital.
There were 20 more soldiers who would go to the capital at the end of the second month and 10 soldiers who would leave in the third month, only 10 soldiers were from Jack's group who would return to the capital with him.
So in the second selection of soldiers, they were all selected from the group that had just arrived on the Royal Road and other soldiers who were leaving with Jack, so they wouldn't have to select as many soldiers in the next month.
The soldiers who went with Jack the first month were desperate to know that they would have to go back to the forest again, Jack calmed them by saying that now that they had more experience and had fewer animals in the forest it would be easier.
The more experienced soldiers calmed down because they trusted Jack and realized that what he said was true, of course, they did not know that it was Jack who had suggested that they return to the forest.
The 20 youngest soldiers were nervous about it, but they were not so worried knowing that they would go with Jack who was an experienced hunter and 40 other soldiers who already had the experience, they were even more relaxed when they learned that no one was hurt the last time they went to the forest.
Jack also wouldn't have to worry about envious soldiers on this mission and he just had to take care of everyone, so they had a second hunt in the quiet forest and again no soldiers were hurt.
This time Jack had chosen more archer soldiers and all soldiers had training with the bows before going to the forest, the 40 soldiers who went on the first hunt with Jack helped further in this hunt and gained even more experience.
In the third hunt another 20 soldiers who were in Jack's group had returned to the capital, and this time Jack did not choose new soldiers and took only the group of 40 soldiers with him who already had more experience.
In the third hunt, the 40 soldiers already knew what to do and Jack took only a cart with less food in the third time, the soldiers were even more efficient being more experienced and with fewer soldiers in this mission.
So now the soldiers were in the forest on the fourth mission and they were already walking for 3 days in the forest, this time Jack's group had only 30 soldiers because 10 more soldiers returned to the capital, Jack did not tell the soldiers, but this time it would be the most difficult hunt for them even if they were very experienced.
That's because in this fourth hunt Jack hoped that with the group of 31 soldiers the wolves would have the courage to attack their group, yet Jack was confident that they would survive and kill the wolves without anyone being hurt.
This time the 30 soldiers who were with him had much more experience than he did when Jack faced a pack of wolves for the first time if he survived with a few months of training the soldiers could survive too.
