The Grand Mage Fanatic suddenly called Adrian a monster when he clearly is not. If the others actually heard what the Grand Mage Fanatic said then all of his friends would have nodded their head in agreement. If that happened then maybe some mental damage would hit Adrian but it was a good thing that they were not there.
The Grand Mage Fanatic could be seen injured by Adrian's attack but it was not to the point that he could not move anymore. The Grand Mage Fanatic still looked sturdy when the attack pierced through the barriers he applied to himself. What Adrian found strange is that the blood that the Grand Mage Fanatic coughed up was not red but black. This meant that they were no longer human entirely but a different race that only looks human.
