Kat assumed the village would be destroyed when she stepped through… but everything seemed in pristine condition. Well, as pristine as a functioning village ever could be. The change in gravity to upside down was honestly the least strange part. They group had experience with it after all. The houses though… they were eerily silent even if they stood in good condition.
The portal seemed to have dropped them off in the city square. Stone fragments of whatever central monument it had once housed were splayed out around them along with the shards of space that normally occupied the space near the portals. The houses nearby were of solid make, a mix of wood and stone with clay tile roofs. You could see some cracks, some ivy, plenty of little things to show the place was lived in… but the destruction seemed exceptionally limited.
