After a month past and I made some friends, turns out Francis is pretty cool and he is around my age too. We hang out and train together. He is a level E-4 but the way he uses water makes him fun to fight. I also met a girl whose a Light Elemental her name was Violet and she taught me some cool tricks like bending light around an object to make it invisible. Sadly since we have so little energy that we can only do it on smaller objects. I tried combining the Earth pellets and shooting them with the light shield but it drains my energy pretty fast.
For Fire, I learned to make a standard fireball its power alone was devastating but if I add darkness to it, the combination creates a sort of Hellfire. To put out the Fire I either had to command it to stop or run out of energy. People have made the combinations before by using two different Elements thrown together and creating it or by using Elemental crystals.
I invite my friends out today when we were sitting at our table, "Hey want to go buy some armor or weapons today?'
"Sorry I can't I don't have much money I only get a silver a week allowance from the Academy. I use most of the money on food because I stay in the dorm a major portion of my allowance is cut out" Francis looked sad saying this.
"I can't go either Dean we just don't get enough money living on Campus and its even worse living off of it too. I would love to go but maybe next time if I save enough money I could go." Violet was living in her dorm with a roommate it seemed common that people get their Element before Adulthood as Violet, Francis, and I all got our abilities a year ago and we are around the same age.
It seemed like the kid who tried to challenge me was from someone rich because he had a gold coin. I thought the Academy would give more money to students but I guess getting your education is for free plus housing is expensive. "Don't worry let's just go out and look around it could be fun."
They eventually agreed and we walk to the gates for the Academy and show the Guards our Robes, the guards have an item to check your identity to make sure no one sneaks in. The item is linked to our robes basically, if we have our robes on it detects whether or not the person who owns the robe is wearing it.
We walk around some of the Kingdom but it was barely anything compared to the actual size. There was a shop named, "The Mighty Mules Merchandise." It seemed to be selling weird trinkets, clothing, and armor. Violet seemed to love the shop and Francis was interested in looking at the different armors. An older man wearing some worn down clothing came over and introduced himself, " Hello my name is Albert I'm the shop keeper if you need any help looking at anything please tell me I'll be happy to assist."
"Ok, thank you sir but for right now we are looking around." I see many different trinkets some of them useless but a few were decent. One of the items I was interested in was a set of clothing that could repair and self-clean. There was also a more upgraded suit that allowed one to have an Elemental crystal installed into it, say you wanted to shoot fireballs at your enemy but wanted to save your energy at that time then you could use the crystal. Depending on the quality of the crystal the more Energy it can hold. The crystal once depleted can be refilled again with the same Element or a different one. Usually, people go to the Academy and pay a fee to have the crystal refilled based on the amount of energy it can hold. You can also fill it yourself by inputting your Qi but it takes longer and will deplete your own Qi.
I went to the older man and asked him how much the upgraded suit was 20 silver coins. Which I payed for and left. Luckily I still have 80 coins left. Violet and Francis just looked around. Violet was looking at one of the Amulets that was engraved with weird patterns, while Francis was looking at a bluish looking ring. They left without buying anything.
"SNIFF, Ahhhh smells like there are food stands nearby, why don't we stop by one and see what they have to offer." I was honestly famished I guess I have been training pretty hard.
We walked to a 2 story restaurant that had many people lined up outside, it seemed this place was very popular. We waited in line which seemed to be moving. I asked the guy in front, "Hey what's so special about this place?"
"Its the food here that is made with some of the top chefs in the kingdom and depending what you order is can improve cultivation for a short period of time. Though it is quite expensive" he said.
We wait in line until we reached the front desk. The assistant said in a proud tone, "Welcome to the greatest restaurant in the world. The Rising Tiger restaurant we serve the most succulent food filled with enough Energy to boost your cultivation." We reached out table and there were many things on the menu. Many of which costed at least one silver coin. I figured since I brought them out I might as well treat them.
"Hey guys what do you want to eat my treat?" I said. They both looked at the menu and ordered some of the cheaper items on the menu. They were probably doing so because I am paying for it and they don't want to have me pay so much.
"I wonder what will happen once we eat the food?" Francis says with a glint of gluttony in his eyes. "Do you think the food really tastes good?"
Violet said, " I bet it tastes amazing, they have some higher ranking people working as chefs to input Energy into the food, so we know it'll be good."
When the food arrived everyone's mouth was watering at the smell of the food. Violet ordered a roasted azure duck, Francis ordered a roasted moon duck as well. I ordered an Energy infused fish soup. It was time to take the first bite.
