Chapter 5 - Fury

I spent the rest of the day hiding from Jacen. I studied in my classes, did my homework and tried to hide and make myself as unnoticeable as possible. I didn't even leave my classrooms save for to get to the next one or grab some food during lunch before sneeking back into the classroom for my next class to eat there. My teacher saw me when she came back from lunch and asked me what was wrong. I told her that guys are just jerks, and continued eating. She sat at her desk and just watched me eat in silence, never prying for more information. After all my classes were done I ran out the door and headed for home. I had made it about half a mile down the road before Jacen pulled up next to me asking if I needed a ride. I told him, "I'm fine, maybe you should go check on your girlfriend." At that, he turned looking towards the road with a confused look on his agrvatingly perfect face. He said, "I don't know what you're talking about, I don't have a girlfriend. Not yet at least." He smiled at me with that last comment. I told him, "I saw you with little miss perfect earlier this morning. You're not going to fool me." He said, "No, I'm really not seeing anyone. I haven't been for quite some time now." I stomped my feet, stopping as I began furiously slamming my foot on the ground as hard as I could without breaking it. I turned to him and said, "Oh really?! You don't remember a tall, tan brunette with brilliant green eyes? Maybe that's too vague, how about the fact that she was wearing a tight white tank top that shows her belly button and jean shorts so short Daisy Duke wouldn't even wear them, remember how she hugged you and kissed your face earlier?!!" Jacen had stopped the moment I began to stomp, listening as I ranted and raved about his secret lover. When I finished he simply said, "She's my sister, Alana." I stomped and began to walk off when he said, "No really, look. He grabbed something from above the visor in his car and then handed me a picture of three kids one was a blonde boy with ocean blue eyes, another was a brown haired boy with blue eyes, and the other was a girl wedged between them with strait brown hair, emerald green eyes and one of the most crooked little smiles I had ever seen. Though her teeth were crooked as could be, her smile was actualy still quite cute because of her youth. Jacen said, "I was actually hoping to get to know you a bit before introducing you to my family but I hadn't exactly foreseen the current events. I'm sorry for the confusion, but, you also never asked." I slowed to a stop, reddening from how stupid and embarrassed I felt. I couldn't even look up from the picture to look at him while trying to apologize for how I acted. He got out of the car and walked around to hug me and tell me it was ok. He said, "You know, I really enjoyed my time with you last night and I was hoping that I could see you again today. I looked everywhere for you, I almost thought that you hadn't come today due to the concussion. It wasn't till I saw your backpack in one of the classrooms that I knew that you had been there. I asked the teacher if she knew you and she asked if I was the jerk, I guess now I understand what she meant." I asked him what he was talking about I hadn't ever left the classroom not until I left. it was about that time that I realized that I was in such a hurry to leave that I never thought to grab my bag. I looked at him and just said, "Never mind. " He laughed and continued, "I knew that classes had already ended for the day, so you must have forgotten it. So, I grabbed it and ran to my car to try to catch you on your way home, and well, you know the rest of the story." I hugged him and he asked, "Now that all of that is cleared up, would you like a ride home?" I said, "That depends on how you answer a question." He said, "Ask away." I asked, "So did you really think about introducing me to your family after just one night driving me home?" He laughed as he said, "Of course, I couldn't possibly date a girl my mother didn't approve of, no matter how amazing she was. She'd kill me just for thinking about it." We both smiled and I giggled at the idea of him finding me so amazing. I got in the car with him and he began to drive down the road. I looked around his car admiring it as I said, "You know, I didn't really have the opportunity to see your car the other night. It's actually quite nice." He looked at me and smiled widely with pride as he said, "It is. Isn't it? This is actually my dream car. It's not exactly the way I dreamed about it yet, but one day it will be." "Really? And what exactly is it? I'm not very well versed in cars." I asked. He told me as though I just tooned into his favorite topic, "It's a 1972 Ford Torino Sport. Right now, it has the 351 Cleveland in it, but I really want to get a 429 Super Cobra put into it. I want to keep the five speed in the floor though, it is it's own natural kind of theft prevention. Not many people know how to drive a stick these days. And one day I want to paint it Seduction Blue with pearl racing stripes. I can already see it. But, now that I think about it, it looks a lot better with you in it."
