"Good morning, Ma'am Lyka." Lyka's assistant Paula greeted her. "You're early today."
Lyka immediately gave her hermes bag to her assistant then walked straight to her dressing room.
Today is the first day of their shooting for her new TV series and her scene will start at twelve o'clock in the afternoon, but she came to the set four hours early. She couldn't sleep all night and was irritated because she still hasn't seen any news about what happened to Chloe and Jeremy at that old woman's party.
She did nothing for two hours but search for all the news outlet but she didn't found anything, she started to searched once again after her make-up was done but still no result came out.
Lyka's forehead slowly furrowed, why there was still no news coming out about what happened last night. There was not even a single news regarding that old woman's birthday party in Ajero's mansion.
It was impossible for their plan not to happen, because she made sure Chloe and Jeremy were already inside his room. Jeremy even gave her the spare keys on his room so no one could bother them, she even called some reporters in the party to tell them that there was a big news that will happen on that party before she left the Ajero's mansion that night.
She has known Jeremy for almost a year, she met him at a bar where she always went with her friends a year ago. She discovers that he was Ryuchen's cousin and says that he has a grudge on Ryuchen's family because they are the reason why he was imprisoned for five years.
So when she remembered the old woman's upcoming birthday, she immediately met him. Her plans work because he invited her as his partner to the old woman's party and also agreed to her plan by saying that she wanted to take revenge on Chloe because she stole Ryuchen from her. She said Ryuchen hated Chloe and he was forced to marry her because that is what the old woman's wanted, and Ryuchen agree to do something that will ruined his wife as well. In return of helping her, she said that he can to whatever he wants to Chloe once their plan succeed and she will handle Ryuchen.
Lyka knows that Jeremy was a notorious playboy in their city, and was aware that he was imprisoned because he and his friends raped a minor and knew he would never say no especially when there was a woman involve.
Her plan was perfect, but why still no news out about them?
Did the Ajero family hide it, did they pay all the reporters that were there so no news came out?
Lyka was frustrated, but she knew that Ryuchen will hate and disgust Chloe once he discovered what happened between her and Jeremy so she had nothing to do but wait for the time when Ryuchen returned to her side.
In the middle of her thoughts, Lyka suddenly heard a knock from the door of her dressing room and Paula quickly got up and open it. She threw her phone in front of the vanity table when she saw Director Park from the mirror.
"Good morning, Director Park." she greeted him politely. "Why are you here? Please have a seat."
"Oh no need, I won't take long." Director Park said. "I received a memo earlier this morning."
"A memo?" she raised her right eyebrow. "What memo?"
"There was a sudden decision from the investors to change the artist in the TV series, and you will no longer be the female lead."
"What?" she exclaimed.
Lyka was dumbfounded, did she hear it right? She was no longer the female lead in the TV series? Then, what will be her role now? How did that happen all of a sudden.
"Did you just say that they want me to be removed from being the female lead?" she asked in disbelief.
"Yes." the director said. "To be exact, you are no longer part of the crew."
Lyka felt irritated because the director didn't seem to care.
He was one of those people who begged her to accept that project back then and now he's going to tell her that she was no longer part of their crew?
"How ridiculous." she said then laugh. "I guess you have forgotten who I am, Director Park. But let me tell you in case you have forgotten, I can remove you from being the director in this TV series if I wanted to, and I can easily ruin you career."
"Lyka, that decision was from the investors and not mine." the director said indifferent. "If you have any complaint, talk to them."
"Of course, I will!" she couldn't help but get furious. "I will tell this to Ryuchen, let's see what you can do."
Ryuchen was the one with the biggest investment in that TV series and she knew that the moment she mentioned his name, his knees would tremble. She will tell him to withdraw his investment and in the end, that director will beg her again to return to that project.
"You can do what you want, Lyka."
Lyka took her phone and call Ryuchen, but she could no longer contact him as if he blocked her number.
What is happening?
"Director Park, maybe we can talk about this." Lyka's manager said. "There must be some misunderstanding."
"I'm sorry Manager Kath, but the decision form the investors was final." he explained. "They already sent us the new female lead and she's on her way now to shoot for this project."
Lyka's blood boiled with anger because of what he said, it seems like everything has been planned and they even found replacement for her in an instant. One of the things she wonder about is why she seems to be the only one who has been replaced.
She tried to call Robin as well but he was not answering either.
She was starting to get nervous about what was happening to her, she knew there was something wrong. Could Ryuchen have something to do with what was happening to her right now, she didn't know what happened last night in their mansion and no news coming from Jeremy either.
Is it possible that Ryuchen found out what she did and now he's taking revenge against her?
"I... I will file a case against you for breach of contract." she said, afraid because of her thought. "I will sue you for this."
"Lyka, we already talked to your company and they have agreed to remove you from this project." the director said. "And besides, your company accepted our payment for breaching our contract and we both agreed to pay fifteen million dollars to you and twenty five million to your company."
"fifteen million is not enough!" she shouted.
"Lyka, you can't even say it was a breach of contract because as per the agreement you have to at least film two to three episodes but we haven't started filming yet, and as per the contract we just have to pay fifteen million dollars to you."
"Do you think that was all my worth?" she said furiously. "If yes, see you in the court then."
"Sure." the director said calmly, causing Lyka to become even more annoyed. "Just make sure your company knows what you're going to do, because we have already talked to them. But we are willing to go to court if you intend to go with your plan to file a lawsuit against us."
Her manager immediately grabbed her as she was about to attack the director, and told her to stopped if she doesn't want to ruin her career.
Lyka was frustrated, because she couldn't do anything.
They suddenly heard a knock from the door, her eyes narrowed and grind her teeth in annoyance when she saw the elegant woman who entered her dressing room. Of course, she knew who she was.
Roxanne Ong.
Roxanne is popular abroad and worked together with many famous celebrities and had received several minor awards in hollywood. She first became known as a model for famous brands, and later became known for her acting skills. But Lyka didn't think she would accept the offer of being the female lead in that project, because she hadn't heard of her accepting a local TV series.
"Miss Roxanne, you're here." the director said cheerfully. "How are you?"
"I'm good, you must be Director Park." she said politely and bowed. "Thank you for trusting me to be the female lead for your TV series."
"No, no. We should be the one to thank you for accepting our project on your busy schedule."
"It's a good thing that I'm here in the country." Roxanne said. "I was surprise when someone called me early in the morning--."
"ENOUGH!" the two suddenly turned to Lyka. "I will tell Ryuchen what happened and I will asked him to withdraw his investment on this series."
"Uhm, is there something wrong here, Director Park?" Roxanne asked, she seems confused. "Who is she?"
At that moment, Lyka felt irritated with Roxanne. She seemed to know what was happening but she was still acting ignorant, as if she's mocking her.
"Ah Miss Roxanne, I will lead you to your dressing room." the director said to Roxanne and looked sharply at her after. "You can do whatever you want Lyka."
The two left her dressing room and she was left furious, she had never been humiliates like that in her entire life.
Since she entered the entertainment industry eight years ago, no one has dared to remove her from her role and directors often offered her a role or begged her just to accept their project.
A few minutes later, two security guards from the crew came inside her dressing room and asked them to get out when she started making a scene.
Lyka smashed her bag on the seat of her car after the security guard kicked her out from the filming set, she was still furious. Her manager immediately went to her company to asked them about what happened, and she was left with her assistant.
"How dare they remove me from the set, that female leads belong to me, only me!" she said while smashing her bag.
But who will dared to ordered the director to remove her from her role? Ryuchen suddenly entered her mind, but Ryuchen can't do that to her. One of the reason why he invested in that series was because he wants her to be the female lead.
"Paula, let's go to Ryuchen's company." she said to her assistant.
Her assistant immediately drove toward Ryuchen's company, she doesn't care if he has banned her from going to his company. And at that moment, she wants nothing than to talk to Ryuchen. She wants to know why they suddenly removed her in the series that he invested in.
Even though it was saturday, she knew that he was there in his company because she knew how much of a workaholic Ryuchen was. But before she could even enter the building, she was immediately stopped by two guards.
"Miss Lyka, you are not allowed to enter the building." the guard said to her.
"You know me right!" she shouted. "I'm your boss girlfriend, so if you don't want to get fired, get out of my way!"
But no matter what she says, the two guards are still blocking her way. She was furious, and didn't care about the few employees in the lobby who was starting to whisper while looking at her.
"I SAID GET OUT!!" she shouted once again.
She doesn't care what people will say about her, because she knew that once Ryuchen came back to her side again, they will shut their mouth and bowed to her once again. But at that moment she badly needs to see Ryuchen first, because he was the only person who can help her.
"Miss, don't make a scene here." the other guard said. "And our CEO is not in his office."
But she didn't believed them and pushed the two guards, but she seemed to have no strength against the two guards because she couldn't even move them from blocking her.
"Miss, don't wait for us to drag you to the police station."
Lyka felt someone pulled her to her shoulder from behind and saw Paula, she was sweating as if she ran towards her.
"Ma'am Lyka, let's go." she heard her say and pulled her back to their car. "They are taking videos, it's better if we go now."
Lyka could do nothing but smash her bag on the seat of their car again in rage.
