Lyra was the first. She was born April 12th, 2026, and was the child who changed everything.
From the moment she was born, Blue saw her as the beginning of a new era. She carried the future of both species within her, and to him, she represented proof that the Seraphyne could continue. She was Blue's first ever child, and had shown him that his lineage will continue to be powerful.
Lyra looked like Ivory. She had her mother's softer features, her warmth, and the same expressions that reminded people of the woman Ivory had always been. But she inherited Blue's intelligence, calculated nature, and ability to understand people. She was very reserved, indifferent, and carried a lack of emotions.
She wasn't ruthless like Blue, but she loved both of her parents deeply. She admired Ivory for her compassion, but she admired Blue for his strength and vision. More than anything, Lyra wanted to make her father proud. Lyra believed that certain humans were useful, and that together, The Seraphyne and the higher order humans could work together to make a better today, tomorrow, and future Earth.
"I want to make Father proud," she once told Ivory.
Lyra believed Blue was strict, but she also believed he was trying to protect civilization and Earth from the sins of humanity. Her greatest struggle was learning that loving someone did not mean agreeing with everything they did. Her deep loyalty and devotion to her father made her carry a certain superiority over humans, even those considered useful.

Cassian was the first born son. He was born September 20th, 2028. Cassian was the child that everyone --- the gang, family, friends, other Seraphyne, and even humans --- expected to become the next ruler, because he resembled Blue strongly.
All of the children had Blue hair, but Cassian's hair was like his father's --- a striking deep blue, he held intense eyes, and Seraphyne features that made his heritage impossible to ignore. He looked the least human. He had scales around his ears and hairline.
When people looked at Cassian, they saw the future of the empire because he deeply resembled his father in looks, personality, and build.
But Cassian carried a hidden insecurity. He spent his entire life standing in his father's shadow.
Blue was the greatest Seraphyne ruler in history, and Cassian feared he would never live up to him. No matter how hard he trained, studied, or prepared himself, one thought always followed him.
"I'll never be enough."
Cassian wanted to become like his father, but he secretly feared he could never become the man everyone expected him to be. Cassian compensated by trying to be super masculine and acting too ruthless like Blue, not because he was a physically violent kid, but because he looked the most like his father, and felt that he had a legacy to follow and continue. Everyone expected it. He felt that he was in his father's shadow and needed to live up to the expectations that others had for him.

Kael was the third child. He was born on December 29th, 2030.
Kael was different from his older sibling. Where Cassian wanted to follow Blue's path, and where Lyra wanted to make her father proud, Kael questioned Blue.
Kael was a balance between both of his parents.
He had Blue's intelligence and Seraphyne traits, but he carried Ivory's emotional nature. His appearance reflected both worlds. He had some of Blue's sharp features but also Ivory's softer expressions.
Kael saw people differently than his father did. He did not see chosen humans or unchosen humans. He saw individuals. He didn't necessarily see humans as inferior, or The Seraphyne as superior; he was the most indifferent to people until getting to know them.
He didn't rely on stereotypes to have opinions of people. He was the child who looked at ordinary humans and wondered why they deserved less.
"I don't think humans deserve this," Kael once told his mother, who was a human.
Kael felt a lot of sympathy for his mother, because as a human, she was taken from the world, locked away, and watched his father destroy the world she knew.

Orion was the fourth child of Ivory and Blue. He was born on November 10th, 2032.
He was another child who strongly resembled Blue. He also inherited his father's appearance, his confidence, and his desire for power. He had none of his mother in him.
People often gossiped about Orion and Cassian, and who would be the best ruler. As the boys whom best resembled their father, that was what they faced. People expected them to be the faces of the world.
However, where Cassian wanted to prove himself to Blue, Orion wanted to surpass him.
Orion was calculated and lacked empathy. Due to his lack of empathy, he was able to read people very well. He studied his father's decisions, his victories, and his mistakes.
"I'll rule better than Father,"he once told Harley, who chuckled and tapped his head.
"You're certainly Blue's child, dear," Harley took a puff from her cigarette.
Orion did not want to destroy his father's empire. He wanted to perfect it. He wanted to make humans even more inferior, because to him, humans were flawed and imperfect, even the gold and silver ones. This made him one of the most dangerous of Blue's children because he understood his father better than most, and he also would be cruel to anyone who stepped in his and his father's way.

Elara was the firth child, born onJanuary 30th, 2034. She surprised everyone.
She resembled Blue physically, carrying his striking features and Seraphyne appearance, but her heart was completely different.
Unlike Lyra, Orion, and Cassian, Elara had no desire for power.
That's right. She was like Ivory in that way --- Elara didn't care about who was the strongest or the most powerful. She didn't want a throne or control; She wanted harmony and for humans and the Seraphyne to live without fear, restrictions, and superiority.
"I don't want to rule," Elara once told Blue after he told Elara her destiny.
"You'll do as I say," Blue sneered.
Blue saw her as someone who refused her potential while Ivory saw her as someone who understood the true cost of power. Elara became proof that carrying Blue's blood did not mean becoming Blue.

Selene was born on February 2nd, 2036; she was the sixth child who reminded everybody of Ivory.
She was almost like her mother's reflection. She resembled her mother the most. She had Ivory's appearance, her gentle features, and the same warmth that made people feel safe around her. Her blue hair was the lightest shade of Blue.
Many who saw Selene felt as though they were seeing a younger version of Ivory herself. The Blue Dragons gang members said Selene had a naivety to her that Ivory once had before being exposed to the rough side of the gang. Selene was curious and didn't always understand why everything was the way it was.
But Selene possessed something neither of her parents fully understood; a connection to something beyond the physical world. She could see what others could not. Just like her mother, she could see spirits, memories, and pieces of the past.
Selene never told anyone, because she knew her father would never approve. Her father wanted her to be a ruler -- like her siblings, they would be given a piece of the world when they were deemed ready.
Unlike Blue, who believed survival came from strength and control, Selene believed peace came from understanding.
"Everyone deserves peace," Selene once said after Blue screamed at one of the servants.
She did not want humans and Seraphyne to conquer each other. She wanted them to understand each other. She wanted them to live amongst one another and just enjoy their lives and live how they want.
Selene dreamed of being a dancer, and would mimic the ballerinas and hip hop dancers on the television. When Blue saw her dancing, he reminded her that being a professional dancer wouldn't give her power. Power was the most important thing an individual could have.
She still danced; she just knew that her father wouldn't be proud of her choosing anything else, and she was often conflicted between her own dreams, and her father's wishes.
Her mother, on the other hand, told Blue she's a kid -- let her dance. Ivory would even join her daughter, and after some time, they'd go out into the garden and talk about humanity. Ivory told her what Earth was like before Blue took over ... before Blue destroyed it.

These were the six children of The Gravesend family --- the next rulers of The Seraphyne.
What would become of the world when the next generation inherited it?
Would the children continue his vision? Or challenge it?
Or would they become something far more dangerous than Blue ever imagined?
