I wake up still feeling tired but as I look around I see that I'm in an unfamiliar room with the softest be in existence. I sleepily get out of the bed only to trip and fall landing on the surprisingly warm floor. " So-so I don't mean to sound rude but we aren't kids anymore and you're kind of crushing me at the moment." I look down to see Connor underneath me laying on a pallet his face turning red while my elbows dig into his stomach. " I am so sorry I didn't know you where laying on the floor." I quickly get to my feet " where are we anyways? And why don't I remember getting here?"
Connor picks himself up off the floor and stretches before responding to my questions. " We are in my castle, and this is my bedroom, you don't remember how we got here because you were asleep I guess but you were glowing this bright blue and then I guess I fell asleep." Oh shit it wasn't a dream everything that happened last night was real my head starts spinning and I feel really dizzy. " I think I might pass out " I whisper as I attempt to reach for the headboard to steady myself. I miss and close my eyes as my legs start to give out. Co-co reaches me in time and picks me up bridal style laying me down in the bed before pulling out his phone to call someone. And then everything goes black.
CONNOR'S POV;
I watch her closely as the color starts to drain from her face " I think I might pass out" her voice so low it sounds like the wind. But as her eyes begin to close I rush over to her and put her back into the bed. " I need the doctor to come to my room right now. She's passed out again and her face is completely pale." Within seconds a knock erupts from my door I open it to greet the doctor before stepping out of his way and allowing him to look her over. " Is she going to be okay?" I say slightly panicked as he places an IV into her arm " did you sleep here last night in the king's chambers Steven" he says glancing at the pallet made on the other side of the bed. " No sir the king awakened me and requested that I remain here while you look her over" I shift my weight from one foot to the other leaning against the wall. No one knows what I look like so I can't go by my original name or else someone will put the pieces together. But now that she's here I can come out of hiding and officially be crowned the vampire king.
" Okay Steven, do you mind telling me exactly why I am looking after a female in the kings bed nonetheless?" My body stiffens at his request " I don't know sir I'm just following the kings orders. Why do you ask?" MY heart starts to race and I know that everyone in the room can hear it. " No I just don't understand why the king would care so much for this girl she's an abomination, a mixture of all things in this world. Someone like her shouldn't even exist." My warrior glances at me as my eyes turn completely black with rage. HOW FUCKING DARE HE DISRESPECT MY MATE AND CALL HER AN ABOMINATION. I get off the wall and walk over to him as I get closer my warrior grabs my arm and pulls me out the door. "You can't react like that . Not until you are able to be shown as the king and you know it, calm down, now is not the time for you to lose your shit on people at least wait to kick his ass. Connor you found your mate but without marking her as yours and introducing her to the kingdom everyone will feel that she doesn't belong here." My eyes slowly drift back to their usual color after he finishes his speech. I know that he's right but I can't control myself when it comes to her, " no one and I mean no one will ever disrespect her again the moment they realize who she is exactly." I nod my head before going back into the room to see how she's doing.
"Steven, Warrior Nick, does this girl have a mate that I should be aware of? I only ask because it appears that she's going through heat and if you're unaware a female in heat craves attention from her mate it also helps with some of the pain." Nick and I both glance at each other before I step out of the room to make some calls. If having the others will help her then that's what I have to do.
