Chapter 5 - °Five•Who now?°

"Wait... what?!" I asked after a while of silence. He leaned against the frame of the door with his arms folded. He rolled his eyes and stared straight at me, "are you stupid or acting stupid?"

"Dude, I don't even know who you are," I said with a 'duh' tone. Sugar-like color hair, but not old. Shimmering sky blue eyes that looked dull, glaring at me. He looks quite tall and somewhat mythical.

"Are you done staring? I'm Rhea's ex, Alvis," he said, replying to my statement. "Too little information about yourself, so why don't you take a step back and turn around?" I asked, trying to be high and mighty. I honestly could not care less about the fact that they used to date.

"I'm a doctor for spirits. Rhea asked me to save you and so I did," he said, beating the chase, totally ignoring what I had asked him to do earlier. 'Him, it's him....' a soft voice whispered. The voice seems so far away, it echos slightly.

I furrowed my eyebrows as a repeated 'it's him' reached my ears. Or rather, it might be inside my head.

"Ha, you don't have anything to say to it, do you?" He asked, the sentence is so cocky that I would smash his face with whatever I can grab around me. However, the moment he spoke, the voice disappeared. "Shut up for a second," I said. I concentrated to look for that anonymous voice again but failed to do so.

"Why should I be the one who shuts up?" He asked. He became furious. I looked at him disappointed. "Didn't you hear someone talking? It's rude to speak when someone else speaks."

"What are you talking about? There was no one speaking!" He half-yelled. Does that mean he didn't hear that voice? If so, why can't he hear it?

"You've gone mad, man. There isn't anyone around," he said. I shook my head. 'He drowned you, he suffocated you...' the voice whispered again. I looked at him scared and puzzled, "Did you not hear that?"

He furrowed his eyebrows and looked around, "No? I don't hear it. You're hearing things, I'll tell Rhea to kick you out."

With that, he left the room. Who or rather, what is that voice? Why can't I point my finger at something? I pushed the thoughts away and stretched, pulling my arms as far as I could.

I felt the urge to take a dump after a long stretch, it's so weird. I went into the toilet that's attached to this room and locked the door. I pulled my pants down and sat on the toilet seat.

'Listen, listen closely,' the voice whispered again. I looked around, it would be creepy to see someone there. However, listen to what? I decided to pay close attention to my surrounding noises.

"No, I'm telling you, Al, that useless boy is not crazy," Rhea, it's Rhea's voice, what is she doing here? "No Rae, you don't get it, he heard voices! There's no way you'll be safe from him!"

"He's human, Al. He can't hurt me," Rhea said confidently. "Where's that guy?" I heard her ask. I guess they've reached my room.

"I... He was right here..." Alvis started. Rhea's voice cut him off almost immediately, "I asked! Alvis, here is he."

My poo dropped and an echo of it hitting the water-filled the toilet and possibly in that room as well. Silence filled the ambiance. "Hey! Weak boy! Are you in the toilet?" Rhea's voices boomed across the room.

"Yes! Don't worry, I'm not dead yet!" I yelled back. Another poo hit the water in the toilet, "Just needed to do some business!"

The room once again fell into silence. I quickly finished what I had to do and flushed the toilet before washing my hands. I got out of the toilet to see Rhea wearing a worried face and her arms folded.

"See Al? He's not crazy!" Rhea exclaimed after giving me a head to toe check. Alvis rolled his eyes, "whatever Rae, don't come looking for me when he goes cuckoo."

I felt a hard warning glare before the presence of him left. I shrugged it off. "How did you even date someone like that," I snickered at Rhea. Almost immediately, her palm hit my arm painfully. I yelped slightly and reached up to rub my arm.

"I don't want to talk about him," she said. "Anyway, how are you feeling? Do you have any idea how you end up at the bottom of the pool?" she asked, inviting herself to sit on my bed.

"I felt someone sitting on my back but I couldn't turn enough to see who it was. Earlier, there was a..." I wanted to tell her about the voice but I decided to not say a thing. She gave a slanted look. I looked at her, thinking whether I should just tell her or not. I don't have proof that I've heard a voice because I'm the only one who heard it. She would certainly choose to believe Alvis because they knew each other probably way longer than me and Rhea.

"Oh, it's nothing, don't worry about it," I said and she gave me a weird look. I was unsure of what to say to ensure her that it's nothing so I broke the eye contact and turn away slowly.

"So um, how was the sleep?" She asked, things became real awkward, real quick. I stopped as I remembered about that ever surreal dream I had earlier.

"Suffocating. I had a horrible dream of being underwater and running out of oxygen but I can't fall unconscious. I vaguely remember someone saying that I am forbidden to be with you and only he is worth your love and attention. I don't know, it's really weird and suffocating," I said, trying my best to describe that suffocation.

She nodded slowly as if she was thinking deeply about it. She stood up almost immediately and clasp her hands. "Alright, you get some rest and in a few days, we will take a walk in the nearest part, treat it as an apology that I couldn't protect you during the pool incident."

I looked at her and smiled, "Thanks, Rhea."
