Having fought many violent people and bipedal creatures along the way, the 7th Multiform of Kakarot found itself finally leaving a city after killing some Red Ribbon Army members. Thwarting a child trafficking ring earned some praise and a bunch of help thanks from the populace.
The clean-up of the Red Ribbon Army in a few locations was the only other activity he found besides taking in the sights as fun. Blowing up the tanks and helping the police would start to become a game if he wasn't careful.
Helped spread the concept of Ki and Martial Arts on a few occasions. With a few people migrating to Mt.Pleasant to live. It was small numbers, but they were all good people that went.
"They were planning on experimenting on these kids.. and the strong ones, the Red Ribbon Army is sure getting desperate." The detective looked at the group of arrested scientists and influential members of the community with disgust. "Finding out how far this goes will be troublesome."
"Yeah.. but worth it. I can understand doing it for the betterment of the populace and planet but to do so for World Domination only is just bleagh." Kakarot was not against World Domination if you planned on making it better. Generally, what they did in the military anyway back home. Long gone were the days of just being protectors after World War 4. "Haa, clinical trials exist for a reason, or they could have just paid them."
"Heh, you are a weird one, I tell yah." The detective lit a cigarette taking a drag. "First Capsule Corp took on a private security department a few years ago; then Ox Country takes in a few regions under its control. Not to mention that daughter of his leading the charge all over, I hear."
The detective gave a side glance at the Multiform. He was eyeing the armor he wore. Specifically the two tube-like components on the shoulders.
"I told you what I am about already detective, if you run into real crazy trouble, give me a call." Heading off the Multiform, he gave a wave over his shoulder. "If you are going to smoke, at least increase your training; you will live longer."
"Heh!" The detective chuckled. "What is the world coming to?" Watching the situation a little bit longer, he walked inside to supervise the lab inspection. 'Have to make sure no one steals anything like last time. I wonder if they caught that bank robber who stole those weapons?'
Off somewhere else, two young women gave a sneeze. Both looking to the sky in mystery for a moment. Smiling as they did not change into the other and effectively having a bit of a black out period.
"Alright.. make sure you get them all to a safe place until processing finishes." An officer closed a van that had the last set of kids inside. "Monty, go ahead and get going." Seeing as the driver didn't take off, he moved to the front side.
"Give me some help over here, damn senator, tried to take off!" He was running after a fat man that slipped out of the car he was in. "You bastard, get back here!"
Heading over to help Monty, he missed the kids poking out of the vehicle and slipping out. A black-haired boy pushing it back shut. Then running away with the other kids. Escaping in the confusion didn't take much with their skills.
They were searching for someone. The person who took out the bad people and saved them. Only knowing his appearance and name, they move fast once out of the police zone.
It didn't take much as the target was at a food stall getting some snacks. Already having picked up an additional food supply for training, he wanted to try the chicken on a stick they had for sale.
"Here you go. In fact, take the last of this batch. I remember last time you came back for the high-protein ones. Fewer additives in these." The cart seller handed them over.
"Thanks." Moving on to get additional water, the Multiform made note of a few Ki signatures that trailed after him. 'They are really small, I have run into them during the attack. So stragglers possibly?'
Using Telepathy to read the minds of most of the people he attacked, it made sense to cover all options of possible counter attack or revenge later. He didn't miss a single one.
So begged the questions of the ones trailing him from a distance, who the hell were they? Going to a few stores and taking in the sites, the Multiform keep track that they kept a safe distance of about a 320 feet.
Heading to park area, he flew off towards a Prarie to start training. Best to have them drop their guard if they keep chasing after him. If they were waiting to use explosives, it would be better to be in the open at least.
"Well.. he stopped moving finally." A black haired boy said to the others. "Is.. he working out?"
"No, he is training. I think that is called shadow boxing maybe." The other boy in the group said after some thought. His eyes flashed with data inside. "Think this is a bad idea. We should go."
"To late for that." The red-headed girl said with glee in her voice. They looked to her as she pointed forward. "He heard us, I think." She was right; the open area made it impossible for him to not be here.
"Why are you kids following me?" Kakarot VII looked around to make sure he was mistaken, looking at the gathering of kids with curiosity. "How did all of you escape the police custody, by the way?"
"We ran for it, of course!" The redhead in the group, Ruby, stated happily as the girl was proud of herself. She was a bit of a firecracker, and he rembered she cracked a member of the Red Ribbon Army members on the head with a pipe.
"But why?" Racking his brain to shift through the minds, he read to lock down the names of them.
"Because its better to come with you." Lazuli stated. "You took out the goons and didn't gain anything from it as far we can tell. You must be a good guy. But not to goody as you killed some of them."
"Yeah, and your really strong!" Lapis said.
"I did get something out of it; you just don't know what it was." Kakarot VII shook his head, thinking it over. Communicating with the Prime Kakarot didn't take long on the matter. "Let me take you back to your village or city."
"It's gone." A downcasted kid said. His blue sapphire-like eyes were fitting. "We overheard the officers talking about what they were going to do to us. We were going to be separated and put into different homes."
"Better off running away and living in the wild if that was the case." Lapis frowned.
"Right..." The Multiform pulled out some capsules and tossed them to the side. A small lab appeared and a large house. On the outside, two security bots appeared from the opening and took guard. "..let me make some calls to get this done legally right quick. I can make it for at least you lot remain together."
His connections were not that high in the city they were picked up in. It wouldn't be good to as the detective for favors. Legal channels would be best and defintely the less creepy option.
The children were not to hopeful. They were use to bad adults. Which is one of the reasons the Red Ribbon Army was able to pick them up. They started murmuring amongst each other and whining a little.
"I am a killer and will go to very dangerous situations, not places kids should go to." The Multiform covered the phone as he said to them. "Bad idea to come with someone like me, really it is."
"Then teach us how to fight like you then!" Lapis shouted.
"Well.. that is not a bad idea, but I won't teach the uneducated. Better you go to like a school and then find me after." Experimenting with adults and Xenos was not a problem for him or even kids if the cause came for it. Just these kids did not call for such an action at this time. "I am not your legal guardian, so I can not make that call."
The kids looked down, sad but understood. An hour later, when the authorities arrived, it was interesting to see Tights from Capsule Corporation in attendance.
The young woman gave Kakarot a critical look, then the children. Each was fed, wearing clean clothes, and looked fine. Maybe a little sad, but she could find out what that was about later.
The equivalent of Social Service interviewed each of the kids. Tights sat in each interview, taking notes on a small pad.
"Grr." Ruby fused about when they asked her where she was from. The child refused to tell them more than she had to. "I told you, my parents are dead. D..E..D!" Her voice was pretty loud and caused one to take notice.
Almost magically in a way. The remainder of the talks went smooth enough. Tights spoke with the Social Services and couldn't help the situation further.
"Hmm?" Kakarot looked at the legal papers stumped a bit. Reading over again to make sure they were right, it was pretty hard to imagine. "Ok."
"Children," Tights looked at the brooding kids one last time, making sure this was the right thing to do. "make sure you behave. An officer will come and check on you in a few weeks to make sure everything is still ok."
"Eh!?" The children were as suprised as Kakarot was at first.
"Temporary custody until family members can be notified. If there is no problem, and Kakarot here can pass the final examination, it won't be difficult to leave him with you." Tights was also hoping that this would weaken him a bit from training. 'Chichi said he wouldn't harm a kid unless it was a time of war or a mission called for it. Something about child soldiers bothering her more than she cared to admit to me at this time.'
"I do hope to see these kids live, and well later, Mr.Kakarot, I really hope you don't disappoint." The Child Advocate shook the Multiforms hand then left promptly. 'If not for a few Detectives sighting his name in a few reports as a person of interest, I wouldn't humor this woman from Capsule Corp at all. Its in the police hands now.'
The moment they all cleared out, and the kids settled down, the 6th Multiform of Kakarot came down from up high in the stratosphere. Taking the spacesuit off that had several knicks and cuts, left him in workout shorts and a thermal top.
"There is two of them..." Lapis blinked as he circled around. ".. maybe a twin like us."
"Nah.. might be a clone or something." Lazuli sat on the chair backwards, looking at the two like a wild animal. "The mannerisms and the tail look the same."
"Technically more, but that is a conversation for a later time and date." Kakarot answered while rubbing the frost flakes out. The breaches in the suit froze his sweat quickly. Much needed to be done for improvement. "Good place to set up, considering the time left anyway."
As the information was shared about what happened with the kids and what was found more closely, they discovered that the Telepathy reinforced the information more than before each time.
Like doing a playback of a video. Stuff that was missed, words not heard, and items picked up by people could be seen in better detail. A few bits of money picked up by members of the Royal Military that honestly needed it, really.
So far, so good. It was getting late and definitely time for bed after everything that happened. So deep in the search, they missed one of the children giving them a strange look and almost calculating in his view of what they were doing.
Confiscated blueprints and technology by Capulse Corp Forces that infiltrated the area needed a further look over. Hiding in place sight as needed. Chichi didn't forget her Special Forces Training back from home at least. The tactics anyway.
'That's not good at all!' Kakarot VI spotted what looked to be bits of Bioroid technology. Early-stage advancement or possibly something already in the works. 'The other boy..' Coming out of the Sharing, he turned towards Topaz. '..he is the genetic Blueprint for Cell.'
As if feeling the gaze on him, the young boy Topaz looked up an over. He was smiling at first but started to fill unnerved for a moment. Instincts programmed inside, telling him to run away quickly.
"Easy, not gonna make any move on you, Topaz." Kakarot VII took a position of relaxation. Hoping to weaken the spook the prototype bioroid visually.
"What's going on?" Ruby asked. Lazuli just looking between Kakarot then towards her brother quietly. "Who screwed up already?"
"It's not his fault, and he is not in trouble. Are you ok? Do you feel any pain by chance?"
"No. I am fine." Topaz took a few steps back. "I don't need to go to a doctor or anything like that!" The flight method was very apparent in the squirrely boy. "Stay back!"
"We haven't moved at all." Kakarot VI stood where he was and smiled. "You are with friends. Nothing is going to happen. Just think everything through to calm yourself." The boy's surface thoughts were assuring. 'Beginning stage's, not enough cellular enhancement to be a problem.'
He pulled back the Telepathy to prevent a problem from happening further.
"What's for breakfast!?" Lapis came out rubbing his belly. "Are we going to have to eat the protein bars you have inside?"
"Not allowed to really move, so I can't cook anything."
"Haa," Ruby moved to Topaz who still fidgeted a little. "calm down already!" She delivered a chop to the top of his head. "Reaper Chop!" The attack had the boy seeing stars before passing out.
The other two were used to this, but both Multiforms looked at each other hoping they were mistaken about why she called out Reaper Chop.
'Haa, it might just be a slip, and she might not know anything about Soul Eater.' The Prime Kakarot picked up the thoughts and just advised they watch over the situation as normal. 'If she is not a threat, it doesn't matter in the long run.'
It would be some interesting months for them all.
