Kimimaro had been blasted back by Orochimaru and Manda after getting hit by his 5-style element jutsu. Even with Isobu's thick shell-like armour, the attack had been enough to break through and knock the tailed beast unconscious, leaving Kimimaro to transform back into his human form.
Sasori was facing down Ganryu and the others. At first, he had been playing with them, however, he had soon been forced to reveal his real body and had now even summoned the 3rd Kazekage, finding that he would have to fight these brats more seriously, clearly annoyed by that fact.
"Now, I will show you my ultimate work of art!" Sasori yelled, using the puppet to mould its own chakra and form large shapes from the iron sand it was controlling.
"How is he doing that? It is as if the puppet is using chakra!" Ganryu said, horrified at the sight.
"I don't know, but whatever that thing is, it's about to unleash a devastating attack!" Kogetsu yelled, knowing that some of them would not survive the assault due to the size of it.
"Get back!" Hattori yelled to some of the others, letting his steel release cover his entire body, trying to shield Rokuro and Kujira.
Kogetsu and Chika would also be alright, so long as they could reform their body with water they would survive.
Ganryu readied his blast sword, not sure if he could knock something that large out of the way, not knowing what to do in this situation knowing he wouldn't be able to save the others.
"Darn it!"
It came down to Haku, being the only one with the ability to do something about this and counter this puppet's jutsu.
Father told me to only use this jutsu in a life-and-death situation... Haku thought, feeling time around him slow down as he tried to think of another way he save his friends.
"I don't have a choice," Haku muttered softly to himself, catching Koyuki's attention.
"Haku..." She said, also not seeing a way out of this, feeling the fear grip her for a moment, feeling powerless to do anything.
"This is the end for you, now die!" Sasori yelled, raising his hand as he forced his puppet to unleash its attack, shooting the large shapes made of iron sand toward them.
"Everyone look out!" Ganryu yelled, clenching his grip around the hilt of his blade knowing he would have to use all of the paper bombs at once to stop something so large, most likely resulting in his own death.
However, Haku dashed to the front surprising everyone, biting his thumb and drawing blood before he made a series of hand signs.
"Summoning jutsu!" Haku yelled as he slapped his hand onto the ground, forming the seal before a huge amount of white smoke burst to life, creating a powerful shock wave that knocked Haku and the others back.
"What was that?" Ganryu yelled, trying to see what had happened as he recovered from the shockwave.
"No way... What is that thing?" Kujira and Rokuro asked, catching a glimpse of it as the smoke faded.
"Who the hell thinks they can throw these toys at me?" A deep and powerful sounding voice said, finally revealing the beast it belonged to.
Everyone could see a huge and powerful-looking Yeti creature standing at least 40 feet tall, clad in light steel armour holding two of the large iron sand shapes under his large arms and having kicked the other one, causing it to crash next to Sasori who looked on in surprise at the large monsters appearance.
"Fuyu! Please, I need your help!" Haku shouted as he jumped over toward the Yeti, causing Fuyu to look down at the boy, towering over him.
"Ahh... Young master Haku." Fuyu said, remembering the boy.
"To think you were able to summon me without the help of your father." He said impressed.
Sasori could see that this Yeti was a summoning creature, and could already tell that it would be a problem, deciding to act now and not give them time to attack.
"I won't let you!" Sasori said, making another hand sign getting the 3rd Kakzekage puppet to cause the iron sand shapes that Fuyu was holding to burst apart and wrap around the Yeti's neck and hold it in place as another large spike shape grew in front of it.
"Fuyu!" Haku yelled, watching what was happening.
"Why you!" Fuyu roared, suddenly freezing the iron sand around its neck with his breath, breaking it with ease.
"Die!" Sasori yelled, shooting the iron sand spike at him, aiming for his chest.
However, Fuyu drew a large war hammer from its back, using it to smash the iron sand spike back toward Sasori with one powerful swipe.
Sasori was shocked and had no choice but to jump out of the way, not being able to control the Kazekage quickly enough to change the iron sand back to normal.
"I take it this is the punk you need a hand with?" Fuyu asked.
"No, I need you to save Kimimaro. Please he doesn't have much time!" Haku yelled.
Fuyu could sense what was going on in the distance, feeling the power of the three-tailed beast before it faded, along with two other powerful chakra signals.
"Right," Fuyu said, quickly assessing the situation, knowing that if he went off to help Kimimaro, Haku and the others would be slaughtered by this guy.
"How much chakra do you have left, young Haku?" Fuyu asked.
Haku could feel himself getting very tired after summoning Fuyu but knew he could still press on.
"About half," Haku said, with Fuyu knowing that was not the case.
Fuyu made some hand signs of his own before placing his large land onto the ground, making his own summon.
Another burst of white smoke burst to life, revealing another even larger Yeti, also clad in armour and holding a sasumata, standing even taller than Fuyu did.
"What the hell is going on here!" The beast roared, looking around in anger before seeing Fuyu.
"Fuyu? What the hell?"
"There is no time to explain, Mō Fubuki. Young master Haku here needs our help." Fuyu said, causing the other powerful Yeti to look down toward Haku.
"I see..." He said, turning his attention toward Sasori who was even more shocked now he could see not one but two Yeti, not liking his chances in this battle anymore.
"That is the enemy. I leave him to you, my senior." Fuyu said before he jumped off, leaping a ridiculous amount of distance, not giving Mō Fubuki any time to reply.
The others all watched in amazement, not knowing that Haku was capable of doing something so amazing.
"Could he really do this all along?" Hattori asked, too speechless to even get angry or jealous.
Koyuki was also amazed, not knowing he was holding something like this back.
"These Yeti... These are lord 5th's summons. To think that Haku was able to form a contract with a monster like that." Ganryu said, feeling how strong they both were.
Meanwhile...
Orochimaru watched as Isobu was sent flying thanks to his crazy powerful jutsu, capable of wounding even a tailed beast.
Isobu hit a mountainside, smashing into it with his back, causing the whole thing to almost break apart from the force, causing natural disasters all around the area due to the titanic clash between Isobu and Manda, two giant monsters.
Orochimaru hissed in victory as the dust from their battle finally settled into the night. "He is ours for the taking..."
Isobu's body started to shrink as it was absorbed back into Kimimaro's, before Kimimaro was the one left on the ground, trying to pick himself up, feeling as if his body was on fire.
"Isobu..." He said, knowing that the three tails had been hurt from that last attack.
"He is still conscious after that attack?" Manda hissed, wanting nothing more than to eat his prey.
"Very impressive indeed, I knew right away that you were a gifted child," Orochimaru said, thinking back to that day Fuyōna stopped him from acquiring him and adding him to his collection.
"This time nothing will stop me from taking you, boy," Orochimaru said standing atop Manda's head, giving the order for Manda to take him.
"With pleasure..." Manda hissed, coiling up before opening its jaw.
Kimimaro couldn't move and he knew this was the end of the line for him. Having nothing left to give.
"I'm sorry father..." He muttered, feeling shame that he was unable to live up to the expectation he had set upon himself.
"Take your slimy hands off of him!" Fuyu yelled with a mighty roar before smashing his war hammer into Manda's face, crushing the snake's jaw with the force of his attack.
"WHAT!" Orochimaru yelled, furious that he had been taken off guard, not being able to see who had attacked him yet as he and Manda were sent flying through the air.
Fuyu quickly took advantage of his surprise attack, scooping Kimimaro up with his hand before making a break for it, and dashing off into the distance.
Manda hit the ground but was able to recover quickly, snapping its jaw back into place before it howled in rage.
"A Yeti... Orochimaru said, not having seen one of those since the last war, knowing who it must belong to.
"Get up and get after it now!" Orochimaru yelled, getting mad that Manda had also been taken off guard, taking its time to get up.
"Don't order me around!" Manda yelled before it burst forth, slivering across the ground at tremendous speed, ripping up the terrain and forest as it gave chase.
Fuyu was quick as he jumped across the ground moving with impressive speed. However, he had not counted on Manda being able to move so fast, having been able to catch up to him already, slivering at a rapid pace.
"I have no choice, stand and fight it is," Fuyu said, knowing that Kimimaro had fallen unconscious now, trying to keep him safe in his hand.
"Get him!" Orochimaru yelled, getting Manda to launch at Fuyu before the massive snake wrapped its body around the Yeti, trying to crush his body with the size difference.
Manda's head circled around to face Fuyu, looking furious and wanting nothing more than to crush him in one go.
"Hand over the boy," Orochimaru said, giving Fuyu the impression he was not going to ask again while Manda tightened its grip, about to crush him.
"HAAA!!!" Fuyu roared, unleashing a powerful blast of icy breath, hitting Orochimaru and Manda in the face, freezing both of them and forcing Manda to let go of him as he started to sliver and smash around the ground from the pain of having his head frozen.
Fuyu dropped to the ground and grabbed his war hammer, raising it into the air before slamming it down with as much force as he could, hitting Manda in the centre of its body, causing it to burst into smoke, having done more than enough damage to the monster, forcing it to undo its summon contract.
Orochimaru's body was still frozen solid, being sent flying through the air before his jaw was forced open and another Orochimaru pulled himself out, quickly jumping away as he shed his frozen skin, letting it smash into pieces once it hit the ground.
"I won't let you get away so easily!" Fuyu roared, taking another swing at him, forcing Orochimaru to jump into the air to dodge the attack.
Fuyu's hammer hit the ground where he had been standing, shattering the earth from his attack and causing a devastating blast, one that knocked Orochimaru back with it, being forced to flip backwards as he made more hand signs.
Orochimaru opened his mouth, allowing his jaw to dislocate before letting over a thousand snakes flow from his mouth while he hit the ground on all fours and skidded back creating a sea of snakes all headed toward Fuyu before a sword stuck out of all of their mouths.
"ARRGHH!!!" Fuyu roared before he smashed his warhammer into the ground again, forcing the earth itself to shift, sending chunks and massive boulders to fly and smash into the sea of snakes.
However, it was not enough to stop all of them as they kept coming in numbers like a wave.
"No choice!" Fuyu yelled, placing his war hammer back onto his back before he turned around and retreated, jumping off into the distance and getting clear of the attack with ease.
Orochimaru watched as Fuyu retreated, leaving him standing alone in the aftermath of their battle.
"You got lucky this time..." He said, letting him get away, knowing that with Manda out of the fight, he would have to resort to his ultimate technique, wanting to not have to use that if he could help it.
"This one is even bigger than the other..." Sasori said, watching as Mō Fubuki turned his attention over toward him, taking his huge sasumata weapon in hand before twirling it around his body.
"This isn't going to end well for you." Mō Fubuki said, smashing the butt of his sasumata into the ground, causing the area where it hit to freeze.
Sasori was a powerful opponent indeed. But, he was also a clever one, knowing that if he fought such an opponent right now, he would lose.
"Tch..." he scoffed, knowing when things were a lost cause.
"Another time..." Sasori said, making a single hand sign, causing the puppet to open its mouth and spray a huge cloud of poison gas, using the cover of it to make his escape.
Mō Fubuki knew he was running away and only needed to make a single swing with his sasumata to dissipate the poison fog, clearing it away out of harm's way to himself or the others.
"He did it..." Ganryu said, watching as Sasori had been forced to retreat.
"Serves him right." Mō Fubuki said before he turned back to Haku.
"Looks like everything is alright now." He said, seeing that Haku and his group were exhausted.
"Thank you, Mō Fubuki sir." Haku said before he dropped onto his butt, feeling the exhaustion kicking in.
A moment later Fuyu landed close to them, walking over to see everything had been handled on their end too.
"Glad to see you are alright, young Haku," Fuyu said, also nodding to Mō Fubuki.
Fuyu then placed Kimimaro on the ground, causing Koyuki and the others to run over to him.
"Kimimaro..." Ganryu said, seeing that the boy was injured but alive.
"He will live," Fuyu said standing back up to his full height.
Kogetsu also looked at Kimimaro and then at Haku, feeling amazed at how far they had come.
If not for the two of them this mission would have been a failure... He thought, feeling proud of them both.
"The mission is a success! We need to get out of here and fast." Ganryu then said, taking charge of the situation once more.
"Very well, we shall leave you here then." Fuyu said, looking a Haku, who nodded to the large Yeti with a bright smile on his face.
"Thank you," Haku said.
"Take care young Haku." They both said before bursting into smoke, undoing the summoning jutsu, and leaving the small group of Mist shinobi by themselves.
"Here..." Hattori said after a moment, offering Haku his hand to help him up.
Haku was surprised for a moment, but smiled nevertheless and took his hand.
"Thanks, Hattori."
"Whatever," Hattori said, helping him up and taking his arm over his shoulder.
"Let's get moving. The Stone will be sending troops soon, have no doubt by morning this place will be swarming with Stone Shinobi scouts." Ganryu said, getting everyone to make haste.
"Alright, let's head back to the rendezvous point," Kogetsu said, looking at Chika who was also exhausted.
This mission has really taken its toll on us... So few of us left. He thought, knowing that their sacrifice would help tip the war in their favour.
