Breadfruit trees that bear real bread, rice plants taller than a man, a single bundle of wheat enough to stuff you full, berries that can be pressed into syrup of 98% purity... such things covered these islands everywhere.
If one took the trouble to search, even a "lake of wine and forest of meat" was not impossible to find; it was practically the paradise of myth.
