Feng Jun didn't return immediately for a very simple reason: as an outsider wanting to enter the important grounds of the Lingzhi Sect, he really lacked the necessary qualification.
Many people in the Lingzhi Sect know of him, but rules are rules, and the spirit land for Emergence Stage cultivation naturally must be protected from sabotage.
While Feng Jun does not possess the ability to sabotage the spirit land, he does have another ability—leaving a mark so he can come back at any time.
Many people were speaking on Feng Jun's behalf, saying that many in the Lingzhi Sect have benefited from him, but it was to no avail.
Especially a Nascent Soul Middle Phase person in charge of related matters, who was said to have been a pursuer of Yi Jue, was extremely strict with the rules. Though not particularly unfriendly, he was resolutely unwilling to make exceptions.
