Cynthia lowered her head, not daring to look directly at him.
Miles's eyes showed no emotion. After about five or six seconds, he spoke, "It was said after all."
Cynthia stiffened slightly. What does this mean?
"I told you, it's not worth it," Miles's voice came over.
Cynthia stared at the table, unable to discern emotions from his tone.
"You're the Vice Hall Master, one of the core members of The North. Remember the lesson from this injury, refocus, and don't make the same mistake next time." Miles spoke slowly, talking to her as the Young Master.
Cynthia kept her head down, not making a sound.
Miles retracted his gaze, his thin lips moved slightly, "No intention."
His response was crisp and clear, offering no hope, aiming to wholly end her thoughts.
Cynthia's mind was reacting slowly at the moment.
It took her some time to realize that Miles's 'No intention' was an answer to her question about whether he planned to accept someone else in the future.
