Nameless Mountain Villa was destined to be a sleepless place tonight.
They were cleaning up the Great Demon's remains left on the Array and tidying up the aftermath.
The Manor Master and the Housekeeper personally supervised the guards as they worked.
The Manor Master lowered his voice and asked the Housekeeper, "Second Uncle, say, Eldest Miss just smashed that Great Demon to death—how are we supposed to investigate what's behind all this now? Didn't that Great Demon end up regretting it and want to beg for mercy and confess? Isn't Eldest Miss being a bit too headstrong? The clues were right in front of her and she didn't want them."
The Housekeeper gave the Manor Master a sidelong glance and asked in return, "What were the consequences when you were headstrong as a child?"
The Manor Master blurted out without thinking, "A beating. Sometimes more than one."
