He chose to sleep that night, in preparation for the events coming in the morning. Even with the evolution of his body, and all the empowerments amplifying him to the point where he rarely needed sleep at all now, Daiki needed to be at the top of his game.
That was why, he went to sleep just before midnight, and awoke at eight in the morning.
'Two hours to go.' Daiki mused as he meandered about his bedroom, his king size bed and silk sheets in disarray, a crumpled heap in the middle of his bed.
He tended to move a bit in his sleep.
'The envoys from around the continent should be just arriving now, and will soon be let in.' Isobu said as Daiki got dressed.
True true.
Because there were so many people arriving, they couldn't all just be let in. Envoys and dignitaries from all around the Elemental Nations, from businessman, to nobles, from minor villages to even others from the great five.
They were only granted access to Konoha for the day, because it was simply a powder keg with so many powerful people in the village at once, and security needing supplied to not only guard, but keep an eye on each and every single one.
It was simply too risky to give them longer than that in the village. Even with the Konoha barrier and the Hyuuga, there was only so much they could do during a time like this.
It was fine though, or would be.
Daiki cracked his neck as he pulled his last article of clothing on, a familiar sleeveless green vest, that he really had no right to wear currently. Though, the green on it had been dyed a little bit darker than the official ones, but it was still a statement.
'Oh, and why is it fine, or will be?' Isobu asked, sounding amused.
He already knew what he was going to say after all, they shared a mind practically at this point.
"Because I'm here obviously," he boasted simply, as he took his hand from his neck and made his way over to his bed where his chakra armour rested at the edge, the pauldron shaped like Isobu's face atop the shoulder and three new additions at the back, three deep blue ridges of dark blue chakra metal, "There's no greater security than that." he placed his hand on the chakra armour and it shifted shape with a flair of his chakra, shrinking, and slinking up his arm, before neatly settling around his arm in the form of a simple black piece of cloth tied around his bicep.
That done, he turned to face himself in the mirror and took in his new look. Black sandals, black shinobi pants, two reinforced black gloves that went midway up his forearm - to the the jonin vest, and his headband around his head, the sharingan tomoe swirling lazily in his eyes as he smirked at his reflection.
And of course the Shodai Hokage's necklace glinting around his neck.
'You are so full of yourself,' Isobu snorted, but didn't deny it at least, 'Kakashi is going to be annoyed at you when he finds out one of his flak jackets are missing and sees you with this one.'
'I wear it better anyway.' Daiki smirked as he turned and left his room behind. He wanted to go take a look at the envoys arriving.

He picked a large building midway through the village to perch atop. Casually sitting on the ledge, he perched his hand atop his palm and stared down.
He'd arrived just in time.
The visitors here to see the competitors of the exam made up a massive near conga line as they made their way through the village.
It wasn't a small or simple thing. There were hundreds of them, the line so long that even midway into the village there was still a decent chunk of them outside the gate waiting to enter.
Konoha was the strongest village for a reason. And any chance to visit the village itself was taken by many. Their secrets and knowledge were desired far and wide.
Daiki watched them all go by, keeping his eyes out for anyone interesting, but the few foreign shinobi brought with the people as personal guards, he didn't recognise. But he did see quite a few noble family symbols, many from the Land Of Fire, but not limited to it, there were those from the Land of Wind, Land of Stone, Land of Lightning…though he didn't see any from the Land of Water.
'Didn't Kisame massacre the water daimyo and a bunch of the nobles?' he thought idly.
He supposed that made sense.
And Mei already knew their alliance was cemented at this point anyway. So there was no need for her to send envoys and the like to take a look.
One person caught his eye out of them all though.
Being carried in a large palanquin curtained off from anyone being able to see inside. It didn't take a genius to guess who it was inside though considering the four Suna jonin carrying it together.
The Kazekage.
Or so everyone thought.
The real Kazekage was currently a corpse. A revived corpse, dressed up in Konoha anbu gear, alongside Haku and Zabuza.
He'd armed them last night and sent them out within the village, with a simple task. Slaughter any Suna or Oto ninja they came across within the village when shit hit the fan.
And they weren't the only things he'd prepared for this day. Because, today, the grind had been put on hold. All of his clones, were saving their chakra and waiting.
He'd prepared them thoroughly, making one at a time slowly over the last two weeks, so each one had access to half his total chakra reserves.
He peered through the coverings of the palanquin, and took a look at Orochimaru, covered in head to toe in the robes and hat of the Kazekage, only his eyes visible.
Those of Rasa.
His disguise was impeccable.
'Too bad my eyes can't be fooled that easily,' Daiki smirked, 'I hope you liked living this long you cockroach. You're going to die today.'
He stood, casting one last glance over his shoulder at the disguised Sannin, before disappearing in a whirl of wind and leaves.
