The glaring white light broke into her vision, Tessa Caldwell stared blankly at the ceiling, her chest rising and falling unsteadily after the nightmare, as if she'd been through life and death.
Then she was pulled into an embrace, so warm, so safe. She knew instantly who it was without looking.
He gently patted her back and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

She gently pushed him away.
