Tessa Caldwell just smiled and kept a close eye on Dexter Archer's car.
She actually wanted to ask the driver: Where did you see that I looked like a cop?
Half an hour later, Dexter Archer's car stopped in front of a complex of buildings. Tessa looked outside. It was a well-known club in the city that operated on a membership basis, and ordinary people simply couldn't get in.
She had heard people talk about this place before; it was a gray area business, half-legal and half-illegal.
Tessa saw Dexter Archer get out of the car and go straight into the club.
She quickly got out of the car too, wanting to pay the driver, but the driver said, "No need, no need, it's our duty to help the police catch criminals."
Tessa was both amused and exasperated.
No matter what, willing or not, she tossed a hundred-yuan note and quickly got out of the car.
