Faye's mood was at its lowest point.
But as soon as he met Tessa's red-rimmed eyes, seeing her look so aggrieved and conflicted, how could there be any anger left in Faye?
Tessa didn't know he was pretending to have amnesia, and that must feel awkward for her. He could understand.
But he couldn't!
After all, he wasn't truly amnesiac, he was only pretending!
Faye frowned, his eyes dark and deep as he looked at Tessa sitting on the bed with reddened eyes and tears, pursing his lips.
Just as he was about to speak, he heard Tessa start talking.
"Faye, I'm sorry, but I really can't see you as the Faye from before right now. After all, to me, the present you and the past you truly seem like two different people."
