"You don't need to help here, go out and watch TV."
Bai Zhi shook her head. "It's fine, I'll help you, this way it'll be faster."
Sitting in the living room with her Sister-in-law, she'd rather be in here helping.
Mother Bai still pushed her out. "You rarely get a few days off, just rest properly. I'll do it. We don't need to prepare much anyway, some things were ready a long time ago."
Bai Zhi had no choice. It didn't feel right to go back to her room, so she could only return to the living room.
She sat down next to Father Bai, teased her little nephew for a bit, then got up to rummage through her bag. When she came back she had a red envelope in her hand—this was the New Year money she'd prepared for the child back in City B.
"Mingming, come here, this is New Year money from your aunt, keep it safely."
