The first day back to work after the New Year, the workload wasn't very heavy. Everyone was still lingering in the holiday spirit, gathered around talking about fun things that happened during the Spring Festival.
Bai Zhi sat to the side, just listening, and didn't join in.
One young female colleague started talking about her matchmaking experiences during the Spring Festival, and after she finished, some people turned their gaze to Bai Zhi.
"Bai Zhi, how did you spend your Spring Festival?"
Bai Zhi smiled, "I just stayed at home with my parents and attended a class reunion. Nothing special."
The colleague feigned surprise, "You didn't go to your boyfriend's house?"
Bai Zhi was taken aback for a moment, then shook her head and said, "Why would I go to his house?"
"To spend the New Year with his family, of course... Or did his family not approve of you two?"
