I sweat dropped as I felt my Zanpakuto vibrate within my chest in annoyance. (I'm sorry.) I said within my head, (I promise I will use you soon.) I felt a soft vibration which caused me to smile as I slammed my fist into a zombies head sending it flying back crashing into another. To my right an undead suddenly fell back as a large pole pierced through its eye socket. I looked at Rei holding the pole to see her gazing at me a
slight smile on her face.
"Rei! Atal! Hurry to the van!"
I sprint forward Rei beside me as we ran toward the white van. At the moment Saeko was beside it slamming her bokken down onto any zombie getting to close to the door. I slapped a mutilated arm away as Rei spun her pole in the air, and swung it across a zombies jaw, shattering it to pieces. Nearing the bus I could hear Kane speak, {I detect anomalies nearby.}
I frowned slightly as Teresa said, [Anomalies?] Kane replied, {Yes, after meeting with Mr. Kor I decided to update the system and noticed something...} I slammed my plan into a zombies chest sending it sliding across the ground as Kane said, {These anomalies are not from this world.} I slid to a stop near the van as I gazed around.
"What do you mean?"
As those words left mouth I suddenly felt a wave of dread ways over me. Every muscle in my body tensed up as a low rumble echoed throughout the air. {Host I advice you to take action.} I snapped my head to the side as I saw the ground underneath Saeko start to crack. Feeling time slow to a crawl I dashed forward putting all my strength into my legs. Wind whipped through my hair as I wrapped Saeko into my arms. A loud explosion erupted within my ears as something large slammed into me.
It hurt....
It fucking hurt....
I could hear the sound of my bones break as I flew through the air. Flipping my body mid-air I slammed against the ground putting myself between Saeko and the floor. I could feel the ground crack underneath as a I coughed up blood from my mouth creating a red mist in the air. Laying against ground I slowly lifted my head, ignoring the pain in my body, I gazed down at Saeko. Currently her head was buried within my chest with her arms tucked between my stomach and her.
"Saeko.."
As I whispered those words I watched as she slowly lifted her head to meet my gaze. Once our gazes meet her eyes widen in shock. "Atal! Your bleeding!" I smiled as she frantically moved off of me and sat down next to me. Propping myself up on my elbows I could feel my bones grind against one another. A searing hot pain shot up through my back, but I ignored it and slowly got up onto my feet.
"Atal..."
I reached up to wipe something wet from my eyebrow, and my brought my hand down to see it covered in red. "It's okay." I peered down toward Saeko to see her gazing up at me worry within her eyes. Giving her the most sincere smile I could muster I turn my gaze back to see a large creature arise from a cloud of dust.
As the dust slowly cleared, my eyes widen, as the colossal creature appeared.
"No way..."
Towering over me, it's skeletal body had black bones, a human like skull, red beady eyes, and large twisted horn appearing from the side of its giant head. It slowly turned its head towards me opening its mouth to reveal a backs abyss with large jagged teeth.
[What is that?]
The giant creature gave off a ear-shattering scream that sounded a mix between a human and animal. I could feel a headache appear within my head, but I ignored it and continued to gaze into the red eyes that bore holes right into my soul.
{That is a Juggernaut, a boss that resides in the Dungeons of Orario..part of the Danmachi Realm.}
"But it also goes by another name.....Udaues."
Once the name left my lips, Udaues slowly pushed itself the rest of the way out of the ground and brought its hand high into the sky casting a large shadow over me. I snapped into action, running back I wrapped my arms around Saeko, and leapt from the crater. Just in time, as the giant hand slammed down into the ground with surprising speed. I could feel myself being pushed into the air from the force of the explosion as I held Saeko within my arms. Landing down I slid a few feet before I came to a stop. Slamming the back of my hand against a wandering zombies face. I felt Saeko slowly push away from me her face taking on a pale complexion.
"Hurry and ran back to the van."
Saeko gazed a me for a moment before frowning slighting, and dashing off toward the van that was currently being surrounded by zombies. Smiling at her running figure, I rolled my neck, and gazed up into the eyes of the large Juggernaut.
"Come on..." I said raising my hand up to show him my middle finger, "...let's dance."
