Jing Jihan glanced at her with eyes that were hard to read.
Shi Su looked up and, surprised, asked, "What kind of look is that?"
"Very surprised." The man seemed to be smiling, yet his expression was calmly free of excessive surprise, as usual. Even when angry, he remained calm, "Your ability to speak sweet words has improved a lot lately."
Shi Su: ???
She gently nudged his arm, "I'm just speaking the truth, not sweet-talking."
Jing Jihan looked down at her shoes, noticing she was still wearing the sandals she'd had on since coming out of the sleeping bag.
"Are your feet cold?"
"Not cold, it's over thirty degrees at night on this island. The cave was just too damp to sleep in. I'm not cold at all, actually quite warm." Shi Su spoke as she moved to sit on a smoothed rock in front of her.
