She had to write a script and take care of Zhang Minghui, making her days busy yet fulfilling.
One day, while discussing plot details at Star Summer Film and Television, an unfamiliar number called.
"Hello."
With one hand on the touchscreen flipping through screens, she answered the phone with the other.
"Xiaocha, it's Shi Tian. Are you free for lunch today? Let's grab a meal together."
Shi Tian's cheerful voice came through, clear to Jing Xiaocha and even to Jin Zheyu sitting beside her.
He recognized who it was.
Jin Zheyu's expression immediately darkened, his sharp gaze fixed on Jing Xiaocha's phone, even his ears perked up.
"I can't make it at noon today; I promised Little Hui I'd have lunch with him this morning."
Upon hearing her refusal, Jin Zheyu's displeasure eased slightly, a hint of sarcasm flashing in his eyes.
This sarcasm was, of course, directed at Shi Tian on the other end.
